Service Paper
For my service I went to Atlanta with my mentor and some others and fed the homeless. My mentor prepared sandwiches, chips and water the night before. Saturday morning after he picked us up we went to the Quiktrip and met a homeless man that was on a journey to a shelter in Atlanta. He told us he had come from Houston all the way to Georgia. Meeting him and hearing about his life made me appreciate life and be thankful for my family. On the way to Atlanta he told us about how he was in the army and his family had abandoned him, the stories were so sad but very eye opening.
