My Tantula-Personal Narrative
“If you want a kitten, you have to give away your tarantula,” said dad. It was a bright and sunny afternoon, and our family went on a walk through the neighborhood. I made an expression on my face of disbelief. That thought repeated in my mind, all I have to do is give away my tarantula to someone else. It has to be someone responsible. Later on, I ended up giving my tarantula to my older cousin. Then, I had to wait, which I didn’t want to do because I was extremely impatient. I had to wait until the next day, and I was hoping it wouldn’t feel like such a long time. Then it was finally time to adopt my new pet, and my best friend Haley decided to come with me! I was very glad that she came, I really needed her help. The shelter we

Isabelle could have sworn that the man was drooling over her. She chuckled to herself, knowing that she had picked the perfect weakling to complete her plan. All of the sudden she stopped walking, for she felt something wet rolling down her leg. Isabelle slowly turned around to face whoever had the nerve to do this to her. Just as Isabelle had suspected, an innocent puppy had come over and licked her leg. Isabelle looked down at it, stared, and then screamed! “Whos is this?” Isabelle was stewing! Her hands were shaking all the way down to the tips of her black, matte, flawless fingernails. She bent down picked up the puppy, and yelled once more. “Whoever this beast belongs to please claim it now, or youĺl never see it again!” By now, Isabelle knew that she had everyone's attention, yet still, nobody said a word. For the last time, Isabelle shouted to the crowd as they stared at her in horror. “Fine then, say goodbye to the mangy mutt!” Everybody thought that Isabelle was going to kill the puppy, but to their surprise, she simply walked away with it. Nobody knew what she planned to do with it, but nobody had the nerve say anything. For the first time in a century, the streets of New York were completely silent, that was, until the owner of the puppy walked into the streets saying “Hey, has anyone seen my…

She gave me a box, and put the guinea pig in it. We went to the car and I opened the box during the ride home. He was running around, and looked very nervous. We got home, and I put him in the cage, I had already set it up. I took him out after blocking anywhere he could get stuck and die with blankets and pillows. He ran around hiding behind everything he could. After this I decided to give him the name Wolf in irony, as he was very timid.…

The excursion of the first year of the art history bachelor always goes to Paris. At first I wasn't happy that I was placed in the parks and gardens group, until of course I thought about Versailles! We had a whole day to visit Versailles and we needed it. At the beginning of the year it felt like I would have never been able to write any paper that was more than two pages long, it just seemed impossible, but for the research paper I actually had to stop myself from going off and writing a twelve page paper. I will admit and say that English is not my strong suit, in fact it is probably one of my more difficult classes. But just because it is difficult does not mean I don’t like it. I like looking for topics that interest me and still fit in with the guidelines, I like getting involved in the paper and researching the topic until it feels like my head is about to explode. I never saw any of that coming, I thought that I was going to have to go through English and just pray…

The first time I met Anastasija was not quite the first time she ‘met’ me. In particular, before starting her high school education at NOVA International Schools, I had heard of Anastasija and her interests through my contact with one of her cousins, Ms. Bela Gligorova, who was my guidance counselor at that time. I was introduced to Anastasija in person in December 2010, right after I finished my college applications. An inquisitive young mind, a polite and thoughtful person, Anastasija’s curiosity and questions about my college application process and my high school accomplishments, struck me as novelty, since Anastasija was only in seventh grade at the time.…

There has been many cases in which I have helped an outsider feel welcome. One time in particular is when I played tag with this little boy at church since he was new and no one else played with him. Originally, I was outside eating candy and talking to my friends at church. I noticed that this little boy was standing all alone watching all the other little kids play without him. I thought that maybe he was upset so I went over to him and asked if he wanted the rest of my gummy worms. He seemed nervous at first, but eventually he started talking to me. I learned that he was five years old and he was visiting his grandparents for the weekend. His older brother was outside playing basketball with some of the other older boys at the church, and…

My family had wanted a dog for a long time. There were no pounds near us and all dogs that were being sold locally were very expensive. My family had also been very picky about dog breeds due to most of our dogs having problems physically. We had even been willing to give money to buy the dog, but my dad said no. My dad wanted a break and thought, maybe they will leave me alone on a vacation. So, that year we went to the Yogi Bear campground around the Natural bridge. We had been there before and had the same spot every time, and this time we had a nice neighbor.…
