“My Old House and My New House”

My old house was my better than the new house that I live. The reason is because this house was quite different in comparison to living in the one I live now. Comparing the two houses is like comparing an apple to a pear, which is totally different in look, shape, and color. I have noticed the similarities between the two and how they differ from each other; the differences are: The old house was more bigger and the house that I live now is much smaller. The similarities is that both are my favorite houses were very comfortable. To begin with, living in the old house was more better and more spacious. This house had 6 bedrooms and was painted all in a merlot purple color. It was so big that it had a whole big backyard and a huge garden followed by rows of fruit trees. I still remember” the big tall trees dancing with the wind .” It was the be shape was like a church . This house was actually better than the new house I live on. The recent house that I live now is completely smaller. This house only has 3 bedrooms. It does not have a big yard and it doesn’t have any trees at all. This house is completely different in its shape too. It’s shape is like a KB home and its painted all in green and brown color. This house is very different from the old house, but it also has some similar things.

There is also a huge similarity between the two houses; both houses have similar things too. My old house was located in a calm neighborhood and this house that I live now, is also surrounded by a passive neighborhood. Both houses decent too. They were both in a good living condition. Another thing that they are similar is that the house I live now is very well-fixed as the old one.

Eventually, I know that they are some differences and similarities in both of these houses, but I

I believe that these new houses, as a whole, symbolize change because when compared to the run-down houses that, “expressing something like savagery in their disorder", appeared in between them, they indicate the innovation of the community. I think that the author's intent with the title is to emphasize what is of importance to those that live in Garden Place-“all this soundness and excellence seemed to be clearly, proudly indicated on the face of each house - those ingenuously similar houses that looked calmly out at each other, all the way down the street.” What is orderly, new and shiny is civil and superior to what is old and…

Quite frankly, my house in Eureka and my house in Chicago aren’t that different from each other. Both houses have a basement, a ground floor, and an upstairs floor. The Chicago had a small backyard and an even smaller lawn. The only key difference was the surrounding houses and the fact that there is no spot to park your vehicle. The house is Eureka looked archaic as it had fading white paint and a antique building structure. In the weeks following, my grandfather told me that the house is over 100 years old!…

The first house my father built was constructed room by room and took more than 25 years to be built, a continuous work in progress. The original house was built in the standard square format without standard electricity and started with just four rooms: living room, dining room, kitchen and bedroom. The bathroom was located about 70 feet away in a little draw or valley from the house, which during the winter could be cold as the wind blew snow in during the most inopportune moments. New square rooms were attached to old square rooms as the house expanded outward to accommodate our growing family.…

I moved into my home when I was about 4. They house we used to live in was going to be too small once me and my sister, Mira, got older. I was very sad that we were leaving the house I had lived in my whole life. I had many fond memories for it, such as my dad building a playing structure for me and my sister. I remember thinking that I had a say in which house we were going to buy, and I thought that I had a part in making such an important decision, which I know now is preposterous, but I felt proud to be making choices. I remember missing my old house, with the play house that my dad made, and the stairs up to my bedroom, which seemed so tall. This new house had no stairs. I remember meeting our new neighbors, Manny, who really like vintage pinball machines…
