My Home. This is a descriptive essay on something or somewhere you feel comfartable being in
I believe home is where you find peace, tranquility, joy, and most importantly were you feel safe. My home is a small place. It consists of four different rooms. I can start of by describing my kitchen. For a kitchen, it is small. It has two windows but the sun doesn't really shine through them. The stove and refrigerator are right next to each other along with the sink. I could only fit a small table of four chairs, but only use two. The other two chairs are against the wall. I have no curtains just some mini-blinds. On the ceiling there is a fan, which of course is pretty big. I like the fan because it helps keep the kitchen cool during those hot and humid summer days.

My next room of the house is the living room. My living room is a pretty decent size. I have very lovely Italian furniture. My couches have an antique floral look with cherry oak around them. My tables are all cherry oak with marble tops along with the entertainment system. During the day, my living room is filled with light. I sincerely love lighting so I can say that's my favorite thing about this room. It has six big windows and one small one. There is also the heater, which comes out from the wall. I dislike the sound of the heater's fan when it is on. The fan sounds like people whispering during a meeting when they're supposed to keep quiet. As I sit here writing, the fan is the only thing I can hear besides the sound of cars passing through the main street of Fitchburg, which is only down at the end of this street.

The next room I will describe is my favorite room of my home. My bedroom. My bedroom is the biggest room of my home. The bedroom set is also cherry oak colored and enormous in size. The bed itself has a heart shaped background with bow shaped sides. Inside these bows, there are lights. I use these lights when I read. My bedroom set has lighting every where and also very fancy beautiful designs. Whenever I feel lonely, sad or even scared, my bedroom is where I seek comfort. I feel safe and unharmed from problems when I'm there.

The last room of my home is of course the bathroom. It has crème and gold colors and the size is nice. The bathroom set is specially made for this bathroom. It is a gorgeous burgundy with floral laces hanging around each particular peace of fabric. I have small dolls on the sink that perfectly match the colors of the fabrics. I love the bathroom set, it was made by my boyfriend, which lives with me along with our pet dog, Rocky.

My boyfriends name is Tom. Tom is 6 feet 1 inch tall and a very good looking man. He has dark hair and brown eyes. He has a thin face and great looking skin. He is a very athletic man and is into Boxing as a sport. He won the New England Golden Gloves Championship twice in a row, last year and the year before. Tom is my companion and the love of my life. He is one of the smartest and talented person I have ever met. With him around, I feel like I can conquer anything in life. He has helped me a lot with difficult situations. Tom has cheered me up when feeling blue and calmed me down when feeling tense. He is the light of my eye, the smile on my face, the notes of my song, the joy of my heart. Tom is the companion of my life, the one I long to love forever.

Rocky is my miniature pinscher. He is eight months old and very energetic. He has a black shiny coat with light brown on his paws and face. He looks just like the big Doberman, only small. He is 12 inches in length and about 1 ½ feet high. Rocky is a very smart little dog. He knows that if I say "Go Night-Night Rocky", he has to go into his bed and fall asleep. He also stands on his two back legs and can stay like that for about 20 seconds. Rocky knows when to keep quiet and when to play and hop. Rocky hops like a bunny when he's running, which I still can't believe. He's brought many smiles into our home and I hope many more to come.

My place, Tom and Rocky are all part of my home. A home where I always look forward to come to and be in. Without them I don't think I'd feel comfortable living all alone. My home is where I can find that peace, tranquility and most importantly that joy in my life.

The furniture, carpet, curtains, and tile give of such a retro feeling, like you have entered the Brady Bunchs home. With a huge ball of happiness building up in your stomach, you begin to open all the doors in the cabin, revealing what each room has to offer. The layout of the cabin seems very confusing, you cant open certain doors unless the one next to it is closed, and there are two bathrooms right next to each other. As you continue to explore the wondrous cabin, you come across a small kitchen that has food left behind from pervious visits. The whole feel of the kitchen is not like the one you have at your house, it has a much more friendly feel to it, as if its begging to be used. It blends in with the tone of the rest of the cabin, sort of very used, but stuffed with a gargantuan amount of character. The whole house just has a certain feel to it that welcomes you kick back and relax…

The living room, or family room, is generally considered the main gathering area in most homes due to the television being located there. However, this is not the case in the more than one hundred year old, light grey, two story home in which I live. For me, home is where my family is, a place with memories and a place where I can be myself and not be afraid people will judge me. At some point in life the meaning of home is established. In “The Round Walls of Home” by Diane Ackerman, Ackerman states, “You know what home is.” Even though some people do not specifically think of what home means to them, the meaning of home is still evident. When I was younger I thought it would be fun to live in my tree house but I realized I would miss my family. At a young age I found out it took more than a physical structure to make a home, even though at the time I was not aware what home meant to…

There is a narrow window a the left. Through its leaded panes the morning sunlight streams> A candle still burns near the bed, which is at the right. A chest, a chair, and a small table are the other furnishings. At the back a cdoor opens on the landing of the stairway to the ground floor. The room gives off an air of clean sparseness.
