My Generation: Poem Analysis
I feel that the author is trying to speak for an extremely large group of people and not just the father that is mentioned in the story. I believe that he is intending to convey that there are so many people in this world that work extremely hard and don't get any notice or thanks for their time and struggles. I feel as if this really relates to the generation that I live in today. In my generation, more than my parents and theirs, I feel that kids aren't really appreciative of their parents and many other people that do a favor for them. It's almost as if they believe that the world revolves around them, they are entitled to everything, and that everything should be perfectly prepared just for them. In this story, it says that he, "with cracked
