ilyMy Family

I may not have a perfect family but I treasure them more than anything in this world because they are God’s Greatest and Priceless Gift to me as I am to them.
My family consists of four people. They are my parents, my younger brother and me. My Mother belongs to the Cortes Clan and my Father from the Belaguin’s. My father is self employed and my mother is a businesswoman but more of a housewife. My younger brother is 8 years old, he is in the Second Grade in Elementary School and I am now in Second Year High School. My family is the source of my strength and my inspiration. They are important because they helped in my development. Also, they gave me the things that I needed to grow up in the moment that I needed and they still give me everything that I need to become somebody in the future. Among these things is the education that I have received all in my life, my basic needs like food, clothes, medicine, a place to live, and the most important thing, The Love. Like for example, they are always there when I needed somebody to talk and giving me “speeches” when I do something wrong. . My parents teach me good values like how to behave, to respect other people, and to share with other people. Sometimes they push me in certain directions and have high expectations for me, At first, I got irritated but now I really appreciate everything they have taught me. I understand why they do certain things and it is because my parents wants the best for me. On certain occasions I get mad, but later appreciate their words of wisdom and understand. Also, they care for me when I am sick. When I was Ten years old, they brought me to UST Hospital in Manila because of Dengue, they gave me the necessary things to get better, even now they are still doing their best whenever I and my younger brother get sick. My Parents are wonderful, they are indeed God’s greatest gift to me.
My younger brother is wonderful too, he is a good dancer. With him, I

My mother’s family has sheltered me ever since I was born they were there for me when I had nobody. Generally I was unwanted by my other side of family, but my mother’s family never neglected me, they have made my life very easy and guided. In my understanding the reason why I said they are my backbone is because as a child( Baby) I had nothing and I was seriously ill but they never abounded me. My grandparents also went far distance into the village to find a cure to my illness and my aunties & uncle used their dorm room bed sheet as a cloth for me. This is why I appreciate everything in my life because I was a nobody as a baby.…

My first reason why family is important to my life is because they have always been there for me. Many of my peers succeed at certain sports or even various classes like English or Calculus. Although, I did struggle with my other activities and curriculum classes, family has always been there. Throughout middle school and high school, I competed with my friend for captain of the soccer team. I didn’t beat him until eighth grade when my hard work finally paid off. Because of this, I now realize how dedication and persistence can help someone achieve one’s goals. If I never decided to join the soccer team and compete for first captain, I wouldn’t have had the opportunity to challenge myself and gain the skills and characteristics that would benefit me throughout the rest of my life, if it had not been for my family pushing me to excel.…

thorny question for many policymakers is, “What is a family?” Definitions abound, but consensus does not. How we define the family is often hotly-debated because the definition has significant consequences in people’s lives. Government agencies often have to define what a family is in order to determine who benefits from their program and who does not. Towns or cities often have to define families in developing zoning and housing regulations. Family definitions can have a bearing on access to such resources as health and life insurance, educational, recreational, and mental health services. Furthermore, definitions sometimes convey societal beliefs about what is “normal” and “acceptable” and thus, by implication, what is “deviant” or socially sanctioned. In this section of the briefing report, we will begin by summarizing the diversity of American families. Then we will review three definitions proposed in the scholarly literature and the consequences of each. Finally, we will take a historical look at how the family is defined in Wisconsin law.…

I consider myself lucky; I was raised in a loving home with both parents. As a matter of fact we recently celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. My dad worked his butt off so my mom could stay home with me and my sisters. They have always been there for us no matter what we did; they were always there to give us love and support. They were always there when I needed somebody to talk to and let me know if I done wrong. Sometimes when I done wrong, they would discipline me I know now they were doing it because they loved me. Of course like everyone else I got mad at them a lot, but I always respected them and loved them. They were the ones that cared for me when I was sick and gave me what I needed to get better. My parents have taught me good values such as to be myself, they said to always stick to my own values and what makes me happy, to never stop dreaming, to always dream big and do my best at everything I do and never let anyone or anything stand in my way, to always respect myself and others, to always show kindness and compassion towards other people and treat them in a way that I want to be treated, that it’s important to always tell the truth and to always be thankful and appreciative.…

First of all, my family makes me feel happy. My family is a safe harbor where I can be myself. It is not necessary for me to explain myself to my family because only they truly know who I am. I can be sure that even if someone lies to me or hurts me, my family will support me. What is more, caring about my family also makes me happy. For instance, when I buy a toy for my brother, it makes him happy; or when I give flowers to my mother, she kisses me tenderly. When I see my family healthy and smiling, my heart is filled with joy. In addition, I am happy when I loved by my family, and when they care about me. Quite often, no one can love you as much as your family. Only they will think and worry about you every second.…
