I will want to go hiking in the Morongo Preserve more frequently. Nature is a part of our DNA, so fixing the trails will make me want to enhance the beauty of nature. Learning more about the parks will encourage me to study the creatures in nature. I can also have a fun time going hiking with my family.
My health can improve a great deal by hiking. Our body’s muscles are designed for walking or hiking because it is a natural movement and mostly injury-free. Hiking is also an aerobic activity that increases your body’s demand for oxygen that trains your heart, lungs and muscles to work more efficiently. Since I would be able to hike more on the trails I will strengthen my core, glutes, and muscles in my legs. Hiking burns calories, and studies show that hiking can relieve stress and anxiety. Overall, if the trails are smooth and accessible I will go hiking and be healthier.
Repairing the trails may be a little challenging, so I will ask for assistance when I need help. I may not be able to smooth out the ground so I would have a staff member to assist me in moving the dirt. I may not meet the staff’s expectations so I will clarify what should be done. Another problem I may face is watching out for bugs or snakes. If I see something dangerous I will tell a staff member and do what they instruct. We also don’t want to trip and fall, so we will make sure we know where we are stepping and working.
