Museum Experience Paper
On February 6, 2016, I visited the Tampa Museum of Arts located in downtown Tampa. Originally I was planning to visit the Dali Museum, however on that day the weather was awful. So, I had to visit a museum that was close by the area where my aunt lives. It was my first time visiting this museum and I wasn’t too eager about going there, however it turned out to be a great experience. The museum wasn’t as entertaining, but the artwork was fascinating and eye-catching. Being able to see the artwork in person allows your imagination to run wild, allowing you to become a part of the artistic world. It gives you the opportunity to admire the real beauty of the artwork because you get to see the exact details and colors of the selected piece. It was like I made a real connection with the sculptor, even though I don’t know the exact message being portrayed. However, I made inferences based on my critical thinking skills, judgements and observation. I would give this sculpture two thumbs up because it seems to be portraying a strong message that’s not only powerful, but positive. This artwork is important because I view it as a form of inspiration. In other words, it opened a path to my creativity, allowing me to see the world in a different perspective. In that world, communication is based solely on the different languages and words which builds our intellect as human beings. Communication is seen as such a powerful tool, allowing human beings to discovery new information and think critically throughout the exchange of words. Also, it stimulated my intelligence by having me to think critically of all the messages that can be portrayed from this single
