Mrs. Cordell stated her full name is Jessica Lynn Cordell and she was born in Austin, Texas to Sandra Lou and John Wayne Taylor. Mrs. Cordell stated her parents were married for eighteen years before getting a divorce, and stated she was raised half time with her mother and half time with her father. Mrs. Cordell stated her mother died at age thirty-eight years old from heart failure, and stated her father is still alive residing in Missouri. Mrs. Cordell described her father as a good and quiet man, with no alcohol or drug issues. Her father had a college degree from an unknown University, and was employed with Houston Chronicles. Mrs. Cordell stated she does not know why her relationship with her father is not close, and has tried to communicate with her father, but has not had any luck. Mrs. Cordell stated described her mother as a family oriented person, fun and responsible. The educational background of Mrs. Cordell’s mother is unknown, and she stated her mother did not work on a steady job while she was growing up, but did the best she could for her children. Mrs. Cordell stated she would not change anything about her mother. Mrs. Cordell denied any domestic violence, substance or alcohol abuse or mental health issues with either of her parents growing up. Houston and Austin Texas is where Mrs. Cordell stated she grew up, with back and forwards stays in between her mother and father. Mrs. Cordell stated she family economics status was middle class. Mrs. Cordell denied CPS being involved with her family as a child and stated neither herself or any sibling was removed from the home growing up and described her childhood as being great with no issues.
