Yellow fell to the ground despairingly. Tears dropped on the ground, Mr. Yellow felt his heart was cut piece by piece, his brain was totally empty. After a while, Mr. Yellow’s attention was drawn by the screaming again. He racked his brain, an idea eventually came up in his head.
“I am so sorry, my king. I was such a foolish that I could not understand the huge crime I committed until now. I beg your forgiveness. ”Mr. Yellow said to the evil king humbly. The evil king nodded at him with a poker face.
“To show you my greatest apology, I will tell you the most effective way of getting the power of the bulb.” The evil king started to look at him curiously.
“How?” Said the king arrogantly.
“The one true king will wear everything in black and stand in the lights of the bulb for one entire day. In this way, you can absorb all the power of the bulb, my king.”
The next day, the king did exactly what Mr. Yellow told him to do. But the most fatal thing he did not realize is that black can absorb the most heat in all the colors. Before he could complete the task, he had already been dead because of the boiling heat of the bulb.
Mr. Yellow’s friends helped Mr. Yellow getting out of prison and turned off the bulb after getting rid of the tyranny of the evil king. The world became normal again and everybody lived happily ever

The reader knows that “all was not right” because it says in the chapter “The sickness began with chills, headache, and a painful aching in the back, arms, and legs. A high fever developed accompanied by constipation. This stage lasted around three days, and then the fever suddenly broke and the patient seemed to recover. But only for a few short hours.” This quotation is showing us that this fever wasn't like the ones they had. Normally their fevers would be able to go down because of the medicine they gave the patient but this fever would go away for a short amount of time and com right because.…

In Ralph Ellison’s Invisible Man light was present during the times the protagonist was seen in society. Light often represented power as he chose when and how the light shone on him and illuminated his cause. Yet, it also highlighted his internal struggle and conflict of choosing which light would guide his way; whether it be the light of the Brotherhood or a whiter light that would lead to greater personal success. Invisible Man, after a lifetime of feeling insignificant, is given a body and a voice in his few moments of light. In this novel, light is used to display truths and reflect the invisible man’s internal struggle of choosing an identity…

"A symbol, in the broad sense, is an image, an incident, or an item in a work that takes on a significance other than its evident objective meaning" (Lathbury 171). Symbolism assists a reader in understanding the true meaning of an object or event. It makes it easier for the author to create a tone that is easy to understand. Color is the clearest form of symbolism. Specific colors represent specific emotions or feelings. For example, red would show anger or violence whereas yellow would represent happiness. In F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby, color symbolized joy, hopefulness and wealth that overshadows the hardships of life.…

In the story there is this town that is called “The Valley of Ashes” it is a very gloomy town, and really has nothing to it, but Nick (the narrator) describes one things that is worth noticing “The eyes of Doctor T. J. Eckleburg are blue and gigantic-their retinas are one yard high. They look out of no face but, instead, from a pair of enormous yellow spectacles which pass over a nonexistent nose” (Fitzgerald 27). These “eyes” that overlook “The Valley of Ashes” are like the eyes of God who is watching the people work, and is a good spirit that is there to say not to give up hope. The yellow “spectacles” are watching everything despicable that happens, when something doesn’t go right in that town there is always that factor hanging over the characters heads that maybe nothing good was supposed to happen. Everything was destine to happen, as they were being watched over by God eyes surrounded by yellow. The meaning of yellow is proven by doctors, and therapists that say “it can be anxiety producing as it is fast moving and can cause us to feel agitated” I see yellow as evil, when something happens that is unexpected (The Color Yellow). Many times in the story situations and problems happen when yellow is the descriptive…

The analysis of Jurgen Wolter clearly states: “Yellow and decadence were almost synonymous in the public and aesthetic discourse at the turn of the century.” The color yellow in the story is not a good yellow: it represents decay and death. It was the speaker’s husband (John) that put the narrator into a room where “the color is repellent, almost revolting; a smouldering unclean yellow.” John obviously knows he put her there and for what reason: to slowly drain the life out of her. To the narrator the yellow represents society and its cruel views on equality. That is the very reason why at the end, the narrator decides to tear the wallpaper down, to defy society and its ridiculous…

After reading “Yellow Woman” a sense of mystery is imposed on the readers. The story itself is very short and dreamlike. It is as if there is no beginning to the story. The narrator wakes up on the sand of a river bank next to a man she does not know. The man known as Silva acts very strangely towards her throughout the entire story. He is always laughing and smiling while at the same time forcing the narrator to do what he wants. By the same token, the narrator never puts up any sort of a fight to leave. The Narrator in the story knowingly follows Silva’s every word even knowing deep down she knows that she probably shouldn’t. She uses her time with him as an escape from her own living situation because it is exciting and new.
