Mr. Jacks: A Narrative Fiction
Kate grasps the little air around here.
"Gotta. get. everyone." whispers Kate, as she squeezes the little air left into her lungs. "We still have one more chance don't give up" yells Mr. Jacks to Kate. Kate glanced at Mr. Jacks for a moment then looked back. "Maybe you are right" said Kate. "I have a plan if you would listen for a minute," Mr. Jacks said slowly. There was a moment of silence between the two. "Remember Jackson talking about the furniture store outside the force field," said Mr. Jacks. "I’m not sure where it is... but that's the only chance if you want your friend on the other side of that force field". Kate glanced over to Mr. Jacks way once again. "Alright, we better hurry we don't have much time before they start

Kate was drained and could not walk beyond the point she managed to get to. While Mr. Jacks was worried what awaited them the further he pushed. But something felt off. Almost as if they were being watched, but no one said a word about it. The only noise that filled the air was air itself. Kate and Mr Jacks kept on hiking through the noiseless town until Kate found a tattered piece of paper. She immediately recognized whose handwriting it was. “Hey Mr. Jacks take a look at this” said Kate
“This can’t be!” yells Mr. Jacks
The paper read “This is Jackson from Mr. Jacks class. If you find this that means you escaped too. Listen this might sound crazy but we are all being watched. Look around doesn’t everything seem to have sign of human life living around here. Anyway I am heading North west to downtown. Listen I know a lot more of this new world outside that force field then each one of you.” The last sentence was covered all in ink. Almost as if someone or something had just found him. The two came to realize they were not in solitary at all.
“Well that was a lot to take in” exclaimed Kate.
BEEP. BEEP. Out of nowhere a pack of military choppers maneuvered right over them. Next thing the two know is that they are being

As soon as Mr Jacks finished the one door to the room slammed open. Out came a man which looked to be the boss of the place.
"Allow me to introduce myself, I'm Admiral Bucks or the boss of the eastern seaboard force field" said Admiral bucks. "I know all these events are sudden, but I have some news to tell you"
"This might sound off but all of you are the chosen ones if that’s what you would like to call it." Doubtingly said the Admiral.
The whole class looked at each with mix feelings. But no words came out of anyone's mouth.
"What this means is that now you are gonna help the military by exploring the new world that was America" said Bucks
"What do mean explore America?" "All of it has already been explored." Quickly said Mr Jacks.
"Yes that is true America has already been explored, but the new world hasn't" said Bucks
Every stared at each other again this time with worry and confusion.
"The whole reason for the force fields is because of the sudden change in biomes" told Bucks
"A disease that we call the "force field" plagued the nature all around America" "We first notice this change in the national parks but never took action until it started happening in cities" preached Admiral

Between the fifteenth and seventeenth centuries, a countless number of European explorers navigated the globe in search of new lands and new treasures. The era, known as The Age of Discovery, gave fame to some of history’s greatest seafarers—Ferdinand Magellan, Vasco da Gama, and John Cabot to name but a few. Of all the great explorers, though, none are as celebrated as Christopher Columbus—the man who “discovered” America.…

The next morning, I was to report to Logistics and Strategy. People were all over this place. Seaman lined the walls with headsets on and screens in front of them. They used their fingers to tap the screens and then shout out coordinates. I walked down the row of officers scrutinizing interactive pixel maps. They had the ability to visualize the ships and planes in real time with holographic symbols. I passed them and walked up some steps to a clear glass room. TOO THIN, Fernando, Chad, Mallory, and five Admirals were there. One Admiral for each permanent coalition country. There were also a line of officers outside the room, waiting for orders.…

“You seem to have missed a lot of stuff. Do not worry, we have your coordinates. I will come down to you and pick you up. There is a lot to explain.” There sure was a lot to explain. All of the sudden, it hit me like a ton of bricks. Picking me up? My grandfather, who I thought was dead and who probably did still think that I was dead, was about to meet me? I jumped out of my chair, walking up and down through the tiny room. Johnny woke up because I made such a noise while panicking from one corner of the room to another. “I’m sorry, my dear”, I said, walking up to him and petting his…
