Moped-Room 101
Mopeds
The irritating high pitched whining going on in the back of your ear, going back and forth like a mosquito that needs to be swatted.
These are the crippling parasites of today’s modern transport system, loud, slow and pathetically small. These are the major corruptions in today’s youth, not drugs or alcohol, but mopeds, we get taught in school about what harm drugs and alcohol can do, but not mopeds, can a shot of vodka cause your brains to come out of your ears?
The only people who really ride mopeds are ‘chavs’ because ‘chavs’ have no real conception of respect and self-humiliation.
Mopeds are poorly designed; the majority of mopeds fail on style, speed, and respect. Mopeds should be replaced with motorcycles, motorcycles have brakes, they have proper engines, and most importantly, they have style, strength and agility.
People who ride mopeds on roads, like children who ride bicycles on pavements, deserve to be run over, not for pure hatred, although that subconsciously plays a part in it, but for fun, if they choose to use an incomplete motorcycle they should be duly punished.
They are loud and inconvenient to other people, causing pain in the ears, and sound pollution.
Don’t buy a moped when your 16, buy a bus pass, then stick with it until your 21, old enough to ride a proper motorcycle and not a hairdryer.
Mopeds are insolent, toe dragging scooters, which derived from a bicycle rider who was too lazy to pedal, but not brave enough to go fast.
Mopeds are normally defined by limits on engine displacement, speed, power output, or transmissions, or by a requirement for pedals. In some countries, the legal driving age for a moped is lower than for larger motorcycles, and consequently mopeds are popular among the youth. Typically, mopeds are restricted to 30–85 km/h (18–53 mph) and engine displacement less than 50 cc. Any modification to the engine size to make it larger will cause it to be classified as a motorcycle, which will then increase tax,

I have chose this topic due to the serous road accidents that been happening in Australia involving young teens .Teenagers own about 45% of Australia’s road accidents , death rates of young teenagers have increased this is because some teenagers are growing up way to quick why ? As a result of this teenagers have been receiving there licence way too early at the age of 16. Dangerous Driving Culture

The definition of the social phenomenon known as hooning is young men who engage in illegal, dangerous driving such as street racing, burnouts, fishtails, and blast car stereos. On the other hand, the car culture known as street machiners engage in harmless and legal activities such as gathering in vacant parking lots to show off their vehicles and cruise the streets with friends. Hoons’ dangerous driving makes them different from the car culture of street machiners, but there are similarities between them. Primarily, both hoons and street machiners modify their cars to make them look better and move faster. Due to driving similar modified and powerful cars, confusion can set in causing trouble for the car enthusiast when mistaken for a hoon. However, even with the less than the glorious reputation of the hoons, a study by Fuller confirms hooning accidents are not a large part of the road safety problem since dangerous driving usually take place in the controlled spaces of a race track or on rural roads. Therefore, pointing to youthfulness itself as the disadvantage once…

There are many systems for classifying types of motorcycles, describing how the motorcycles are put to use, or the designer's intent, or some combination of the two. There are five main categories: cruiser, sport, touring, standard, and dual-purpose. Cruisers are styled after American machines from the 1930s to the early 1960s. Their engines are tuned for low-end torque, making them less demanding to ride because it is not necessary to shift as frequently to accelerate or maintain control. Sport bikes emphasize speed, acceleration, braking, and cornering on paved roads typically at the expense of comfort and fuel economy in comparison to less specialized motorcycles. Because of this, there are certain design elements that most motorcycles of this type will share. Sport bikes have comparatively high performance engines resting inside a lightweight frame. Although any motorcycle can be equipped and used for touring, touring motorcycles are specifically designed to excel at covering long distances. They have large displacement engines, fairings and screens that offer good weather and wind protection, large capacity fuel tanks, and a relaxed, upright seating position. Passenger accommodation is excellent and expansive luggage space is normal for this class. Sport touring motorcycles combine attributes of sport bikes and touring motorcycles. The rider posture is less extreme than a sport bike, giving greater long-distance comfort. Accommodation for a passenger is superior to a sport bike as well, along with luggage capacity. Standards are versatile, general purpose street motorcycles. They are recognized primarily by their upright riding position, halfway between the reclining posture of the cruisers and the forward leaning sport bikes. Foot pegs are below the rider and handlebars are high enough to not force the rider to reach far forward, placing the shoulders above the hips in a natural position. Dual-sports, sometimes called dual-purpose or on/off-road motorcycles,…

Wider society refers to them as hooligans and probably always will. So why should they feel the need to adapt to the era of ‘young drivers’ in order to suit the changing behavioural patterns of young drivers. Young drivers are those who are under the age of 25 and posses a valid driver’s licence. Who causes the most accidents on Australian roads? Why is this-the case? What has been done? And what needs to be done? Young drivers (17-25 years) represent one-quarter of all Australian road deaths, but are only 10-15% of the licensed driver population. Currently the task of providing accurate and relevant driver education is in practise to ensure the safety of both young drivers but also other road users.…
