Monique Baan Case Study
For this assignment i chose to interview Monique Baan, who has been a role model and mother in my life. My mother has always said hard work and determination can get you anywhere in life and she has demonstrated it many times throughout her career journey. Needing 7 years of experience in office administration, but getting the job because of her hard work and her persistence. The same thing happened in 2014, when she put in her resume for the library with no skills and got the job anyways.

Focusing on the journey is about the changes in one's life whether it be to their career or family life, it’s always about keeping your long term goal in mind, and wanting to achieve it. While my Mom is very happy about her career and where she is, she was an example about keeping her long term goals in view and achieving what she was striving for. She wanted to become a librarian even though she didn’t go to school for it, when she had the option to apply for it she jumped at it. Through my mother's career it is evident that there has been a lot of changes over the years and her current job is far from what she went to school for. Her career changed because she changed locations, but she is glad where it has brought her.

Access your Allies, Monique always found it easy to have positive people in her life. From looking at her from a daughter's perspective, she does a lot for people in her community and jobs for people whether it be helping with paperwork, computer work, book keeping, or inventory for a toy collector that has over 20 thousand tractors.
