Momotaro: The Sword In The Stone
It takes certain traits to become a hero. The heroes Momotaro, from “Momotaro: Boy-of-the-Peach” as retold by Yoshiko Uchida; Arthur, from “The Sword in the Stone” as retold by Keith Baines; and Sir Launcelot, from “Sir Launcelot du Lake” as retold by Keith Baines all display determination. The three heroes exhibit traits of bravery. The heroes also demonstrate a willingness to accomplish the task at hand. These stories, as well as the heroes within them, prove that heroes are resilient.
