Minho “ Those of us who made it this far got here for a reason. All the idiots are dead by now” Pg.66 Minho is the leader , he may be hard on them but that’s how he fits in the story. Minho gives them orders and a reason to go forward, without him there would be no order. If he wasn’t so strict they already be dead by now. Minho would be categorized as a static character character because he stays the same. His attitude never changes his still the same old stubborn Minho. An also a flat character because his personality doesn’t change throughout the story and his easy to understand. The Tupac Amaru uprising from 1780-1783 was a turning point in colonial South America. Although unsuccessful in accomplishing its defined purpose, it marked a major shift in colonial Spanish-Indian relations, and was the antecedent to the expulsion of the Spanish some forty years after the rebellion failed. But what was the end goal of the rebellion? Scholars have been perplexed for years about the true purpose of this revolt, acknowledging “The Tupac Amaru uprising almost immediately surpassed the boundaries of the more typical revolt” (pg. 21). This paper will discuss the purpose of the Tupac Amaru uprising, why it failed, and its effects.…

Another story that I am going to discuss is Tres Hermanos which is about three brothers who go on a journey for their parents. The first two brothers get caught by a fascinating town, get some money from the man and completely forget about their parents. In this story, those two brothers’ characters are pretty much the same. The first one “lied to her and told her he had no water,” (1611) and he replied to the man “I’ll take the money” (1612). Similarly, the second one also “didn’t share his water or food with her,” (1612) and he chose “The bagful of money” (1612). From those two brothers’ behavior, we can easily see that they have no loyalty to their parents and God as well as they are too greedy to keep their promises. However, the youngest…

A character that caught my attention out of the set of episodes that I watch was Jin. His character is mysterious, introvert and does not know how to communicate his feelings. In addition, I consider that those traits are the fundamental reason of his problems. For example, when he punches a guy almost to death to save him from being shot. When he gets home to Sun, he does not explain to her what happened and she misunderstands the whole situations. Also, the way he acts in the begin of the series make us think that he is selfish when he is only trying to protect his loved one. We could see how his character starts to progress when he contributes by fishing and sharing it with the other on the camp. Furthermore, we could see Jin progression when he finally accepts that his relationship with Sun is broken and that is does not have a…

First, Chopin uses two flat characters and one round character to show the irony of being free than back to being regulated. In the first opening lines all of the characters are introduced. Mrs. Mallard, the protagonist and the story's only round character, will undergo significant change as the story continues. Readers learn two essential facts about her that add immediate tension and interest: she has heart trouble, and her husband is assumed dead. The other three characters introduced, Mr. Mallard, Josephine and Richards, are flat characters. Mr. Mallard, though described in more detail later in the story by his wife, does not change in the story and never achieves complexity or depth as a character. Josephine and Richards are minor characters who act out their social roles predictably to make the plot progress.…
