One of the most prominent aspects of modern society is the liberal exposure of sexuality within the media. Music videos, advertisements online, television series and music shows have adolescents and younger adults as their main viewership target. Cyrus is known for openly addressing sexuality on public media, she has found a very effective way to get attention from general public and she does this using sex appeal for everything. This is an example of human sexuality’s importance in society and how it is used to promote and define many people through the public eye. Television and other media has become now the real path for sex education to younger individuals in comparison to home and school, this is due to the level of sexual exposure from everywhere and the more interesting appeal they perceive from it. therefore hearing this celebrity exposing her “new” gender sexuality resulted as a fabricated lie, a simple way to grab even more attention from viewers. However with more research I learned that it is in fact an existing concept but not well known. Miley Cyrus way manner to portray herself on media is perceived as innovative and “cooly” admirable for some people, yet it looks very fraudulent and just a show in my opinion. The way she expose her nude body like a normal issue bothers me for the fact that our body is sacred to ourselves and we have to love and respect ourselves before anything else, but she just uses it to publicity and the creation for many more scandals that can give her more attention and relevance around the world.
