Miguel De Cervantes Insanity

“Too much sanity may be madness and the maddest of all, to see life as it is and not as it should be.” Miguel de Cervantes was considered the person to write the first “modern novel”. He was a very intelligent man. He is well known for his book “Don Quixote” when he died. Miguel de Cervantes was born near Madrid, Spain in 1547. He was the fourth of seven children in his family. He struggled financially his whole entire life. His father was born deaf and worked as a surgeon which was a lowly trade during that time. Miguel de Cervantes was an avid reader as a child during his financial struggles. He was taught to read by a relative.

Also if Cervantes didn’t exist, we would lose a very important piece of literature that we recognized as very famous and valuable. Cervantes was more than his book, he was a husband and a father. If he didn’t exist his wife, Catalina de Salazar y Palacios, would probably be married to another man. His son, Juan de Jáuregui, who was a Spanish poet, scholar and a painter, wouldn’t exist and neither would Cervantes’ daughter, Isabel de Saavedra, who was a monk.

Miguel de Cervantes’ life was diverse from being born in poverty, rising to become a soldier, then becoming a prisoner and a slave, lastly becoming the author we all know as Miguel de Cervantes. Miguel de Cervantes first writes in 1569, to writing a full book by 1585 that he called “La Galatea”, then he writes both parts of “Don Quixote” in prison! People should care about this because Miguel de Cervantes was a very intelligent man because he wrote one book on his own and both parts of one book
