In Romeo and Juliet, marriage is the center of attention of the play. Despite, the feud between with their families, Capulet and Montague, the two lovers, Romeo and Juliet, ignore it and get married. This caused a lot of tension mostly because their love was impatient. That lead to the marriage being rushed. Therefore, the motif marriage conveys that love is impatient.
Juliet's love is impatient when she concerns about Romeo being married already. Juliet and the Nurse overlook Romeo at Capulet's party, Juliet tells the Nurse, “Go ask his name. If he be married, my grave is like to be my wedding bed.”(1.5.22) Juliet has never seen Romeo before until now. She doesn't know anything about him— not his name, where he's from or what he is even

But later on in her quote she is saying if he really loves her than he should tell her that he wants to marry her by tomorrow. This quote shows that Juliet’s love was impatient because she couldn't resist showing verbal love to Romeo and now she is even requesting for Romeo to marry her.
Capulet conveys that love is impatient when he forces Juliet to marry Paris. Juliet tells Capulet to calm down and listen her, Capulet is so furious he tells her,
“Hang thee, young baggage, disobedient wretch!
I tell thee what: get thee to church o' Thursday,
Or never after look me in the face.
Speak not; reply not; do not answer me.” (3.5.63)
When Capulet is really upset that Juliet won't obey her to marry Paris but would rather marry Romeo. Capulet then forces Juliet to obey him and marry Paris on Thursday. This quote shows that love is impatient because Capulet once told Juliet to marry when she is ready. But now that she is ready, he isn't happy that it's with Romeo— a Montague. So Capulet is forcing the marriage with Paris on Juliet or she'll never speak to him again.
In conclusion, the motif marriage conveys that love is impatient. In Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, he focused on love and Romeo Juliet's love impatient for most of the story. The two lovers were rushed to get married and it ended up being unhappy for them and their loved

At the beginning of the play Juliet never thought about love or marriage and never considered love or marriage, for when her parents told her that they want her to marry Paris she asked how can I love someone if I don’t even know him. “I have never dreamed about marriage.” When Juliet’s family had a party Romeo snuck in and when Juliet saw him, she told the nurse that he is cute and she thinks she fell in love with Romeo at first sight. In the play, both Romeo and Juliet allow their passion to control their judgments, which eventually leads to their suicides. When Romeo finds himself madly in love with Juliet, he completely forgets about Rosaline, a sign of immatureness and lack of consideration. “Thou cutt’st my head off with a golden axe” [Act 3 Scene 3] is a perfect example that shows Romeo being verbally impulsive. Likewise, Juliet contributes to this “rushed relationship” as well, in the famous balcony scene [Act 2 Scene 2]; Juliet hurries Romeo into marriage by saying “Dost thou love me? I know thou wilt say ‘ay’; and I will take thy word.” “O gentle Romeo, if thou dost love, pronounce it faithfully”. Indeed, Romeo and Juliet have to take some responsibilities for their own death, but this whole tragedy would not happen if the…

When Nurse tells Juliet who Romeo is, Juliet says, "My only love sprung from my only hate! Too early seen unknown, and known too late! Prodigious birth of love it is to me that I must love a loathèd enemy" (61). When Romeo sees Juliet on the balcony later that night, or possibly the next morning, he says, "It is my lady. O, it is my love" (69). In real life, two mature people don't know for sure that they've fallen in love after talking for just a few minutes. Their immaturity is shown in these quotes because they think they are in love before they have spent any time together. Perhaps Romeo thinks he loves Juliet because she is the first girl he has approached who seems to like him back. Maybe he just likes her because of her beauty. Either way, if he were mature, he would not think he felt love for her so soon after first laying his eyes upon her. Juliet could think she loves Romeo because she is so used to being kept in her house and has not been exposed to many young men. This most likely causes her to think, since he could be the first boy who has directly flirted with her, that she loves him. Juliet is very immature in suggesting marriage to Romeo, not only because she is a girl, but also because she hasn't introduced him to her parents and because she doesn't know…

He is impatient, wanting to rush right into another relationship to replace the hole in his heart for Rosaline. No time was wasted. In fact, they are SO positive it’s love at first sight, they plan to marry in one day, no, three hours of knowing each other. While you could argue that Juliet is just as impatient as Romeo, she was not the one to decide to take his hand, was she? In fact, she attempted to resist before just letting it happen, stating “[G]ood pilgrim, you do wrong your hand too much, Which mannerly devotion shows in this; For saints have hands that Pilgrims do not touch, and palm to palm is holy palmer’s kiss” (1.5.110).…

Romeo and Juliet took things too fast when they decided they’re both ready for marriage and agreed that they should get married, when Romeo talks to Juliet outside her balcony. Romeo’s ready to give his life to her and marry her, but Juliet wants to make sure of a few things before she says yes right away, so she asks Romeo a few questions. “If not thy bent of love be honourable, thy purpose marriage, send me word tomorrow, by one that I’ll procure to come to thee, where and what time thou wilt perform the rite, and all my fortunes at thy foot I’ll lay, and follow thee my lord throughout the world.” (II. Ii. 143-148). What Juliet means by this is that if Romeo really loves her, and he really would consider marrying her, then he needs to let her know the next day what his decision is and Juliet will go to him, marry him, give him every penny in her name and be with him always wherever he goes. After Juliet says what she needs to say, the two go their separate ways and Romeo is serious about marrying Juliet so he seeks for help.…
