BRAAAP

BRAAAP company has been established by Brad Smith.
The business started when Smith imported elite motocross bikes from Asia, and then moved into bike design and manufacture. Noticing a gap in the market, he expanded the business in 2008 into a retail concept store, selling motocross bikes, accessories and street wear, with the unique addition of an indoor foam pit for the practicing of jumps and tricks on BMX In 2008 he thinks a retail outlet intended to be “the motocross equivalent of a surf shop: The original motocross store in his native Launceston, has now become 4 stores in Frankston and Hobart are company owned, Launceston and Davenport are franchised. selling everything to do with the lifestyle – from parts and accessories, to riding gear and street clothes.
Braaap motocross franchise: having been awarded Australian Specialised Retail Business of the Year three times. Brad Smith is set to expand his business into the US, hot on the heels of being shortlisted for an international award. Braaap is the 3 time Australian Specialised retail business of the year.

They were custom-built and cost in excess of $12,000. Brad was determined to develop and build a cheaper version. “If we were going to get the sport pumping in Australia, like it was in the States, we needed a super light bike that was more affordable.”

After 3 years of development in the garage, Brad designed a bike he thought was competitive. He then travelled to China to find a factory that would make it to his exact specs and avoid the quality issues he’d found with other imports. After much searching, and with very little money or backing, he was lucky enough to find a French-owned company that shared his vision.
And the name braaap, well it was Brad’s nickname for years. “It’s the sound a motocross bike makes when it’s accelerating”, says Brad.

There are several budget areas in Competitions Bikes year nine budget forecast that are areas for concern. The factory overhead budget for the year was budgeted at $481,798 less $150,000 depreciation. Total depreciation over the last three years has remained at $130,000 per year for the past three years as identified on the company's balance sheets. Therefore setting depreciation at $150,000 for the 9th year is too high without identifying any new major purchases that would add to this depreciation. Even though depreciation is not actual cash flow it does define the reduction of company assets and should be reported accurately.…

Brompton Bicycle has a number of strengths, with one of them being a fact that they are a premium bicycle brand with British heritage. They are one of only two major frame manufacturers still based in the UK, and they have been in full production since 1988, designing and building their bikes in a factory in West London. Their strength is also company philosophy that their bikes are not ‘a commodity product’ (Philip Smith, The Daily Telegraph (LONDON) 1 April 2008). I ended up with the two I thought could help the company the most. They are the Manhattan Associates and LLamasoft. I felt that both had excellent products and seemed to be both highly regarded in their respective fields but LLamasoft won me over because of not only the qualities I mentioned before but had easy to understand website that was strait to the point. It gave me a great overview of who they were and what they offered without confusing me. The home page had the number for both technical and general business support which I believe is a strong case that they must have an excellent customer service team. This seems like the right service to help the companies supply chain management so that we can grow more internationally as well as more domestically sales…
