Mckenna, R. (1991). Marketing is everything. Harvard Business Review,1-10

Main Idea: This article discusses the transformations of strategic marketing. Marketing is not what one initially assumes it is, and with the technological changes and innovations coming about, marketing has faced several barriers and future impact.
Choice is being influenced by the transformation of technology and business is being transformed by choice.
Technology has advanced and changed very rapidly. Our business world depends on the most recent technology. Technology impacts customers’ choices of buying because what costumers want is convenience and personal satisfied tastes. Technology has paved the way to a new and exciting life. Since technology has become such a major part of our modern day lives, there is much speculation on how fast we are actually accruing new technologies. According to Moore 's Law, we double our technology every two years. This number has actually been updated to 18 months recently, and we can only expect that new to become smaller and smaller. (Greene, para. 1-6, 2011) In other words, we are learning more than ever! Out with the old, and in with the new. In many cases, technology moving forward makes for 'smaller ' phones and computers, features go up, and our technological tools in the world become more involved. This is especially true in the world of business. Technology helps businesses to better reach their customers, organize records, and to establish an online presence. (Swanson, para. 5-11, 2012)…

Businesses today rely on technology to help perform necessary operations. As technology changes, what we consider advanced today, tomorrow will be considered outdated. Business ideas will also change in order to stay competitive with each other. New technology will always arise as old technologies are exploited to maintain a competitive market. With the aid of technology businesses can make more money in a more global market. Instead of selling products or offering services to local customer, they now can be sold to those who would typically be considered out of reach.…
