Part I: Basic description of the Service Organization

Part I: Basic description of the Service Organization
The first thing I did for this project was contacted Alys Beach. I told them I would be doing a project on them, and they were more than willing to answer any questions I had.
Brief History: Alys Beach is located in Panama City, Florida, six miles east of Seaside. Two sisters and two brothers started it in the early 1990’s. Alys Beach is owned by EBSCO, and is a privately owned company. They are a beach community founded in New Urbanism. New Urbanism can be defined as “aim to free people from dependence on driving to accomplish everyday tasks”. Alys Beach is a Traditional Neighborhood Development (TND) planned by DPZ & Company with unique architecture. The 158-acre, 900 home communities come with multiple amenities.
Mission Statement: “Alys Beach is a special place. Affectionately named for the matriarch of the towns founders. Alys Beach is a reminder that what once was can indeed still be. It is a life of balance, a life of beauty, a life of simplicity, a life of grace. Alys Beach is a life defined.” I think that this mission statement is very well written for this company. They stress how important it is for one to feel relaxed when visiting, and they accomplish this through their mission statement.

Second, simple language is utilized in this mission statement, which is relatable and understandable. There are no words, which are specifically meant for industry professionals. The Australian marketing environment is approached with a macro-environmental scan utilising a PESTLE analysis. The main opportunities and threats that emerge for Tough Mudder are then outlined. A key opportunity revealed by this scan is presented in the market segmentation analysis: two potential female market segments referred to in this report as ‘The Average Australian’ and ‘Young and Free.’ A market research plan, combining exploratory and descriptive research designs, utilising mixed qualitative and quantitative methods, has been developed for Tough Mudder to explore the potential of these market segments and investigate the variables which describe their consumer behaviour. Finally, a consumer behaviour theory, Reference Group Theory, is put forward as a strong underpinning for an effective marketing strategy to expand Tough Mudder’s Australian…

Promotional Strategy: The promotional strategy will depend on the four elements of the promotional mix. The business that I choose is retail food industry/fast food chain business. For example, McDonald's is my case study in this proposal. This fast food chain business began with Raymond Albert Kroc. Ray Kroc was the exclusive distributor of a milk shake maker called the Multi mixer. That time, Richard and Maurice two brothers were the owner of a brand and ran a burger restaurant in San Bernardino, California, in the 1950s. In 1955, Ray Kroc founded the brand’s Corporation and opened the first restaurant in Des Plaines, Illinois. At 1980, the brand’s Corporation, USA gave GOLDEN ARCHES RESTAURANTS SDN BHD the license to operate the brand's restaurants in Malaysia. We in Malaysia got our first taste of the brand and Malaysia opened its first restaurant at Jalan Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur on 29 April 1982. To date, the brand’s at Malaysia has more than 200 restaurants located nationwide. Then this is the origin of the brand.…
