The Taliban targeted Malala because of what she have to say about girls education and rights. She is growned up now and still doing what she was doing when she was younger. She knows now they want her shoot, but that won’t stop her for speaking her mind. Although her father feel like they should stop for her behalf, she feels more powerful and fearless about what she does and will continue until then.

    While on her journey to receive education rights for all people, she and her dad were threatened every day. She wasn’t afraid, and she knew that her family would do their best to keep her as safe as possible. She was probably scared at first, but she went on to conquer her fears and overcame her fear of the threats thrown at her. “What terrifies religious extremists like the Taliban are not American tanks or bombs or bullets, it’s a girl with a book” (p. 14). This quote shows her insuppressible amount of courage, more than most people have. She continued to be courageous and have hope for the future, knowing that whatever is bound to happen, will happen.     Since she was a young girl, Malala has always expressed herself and made sure her voice was heard for all young girls to be educated in her country. The Taliban came into her village, took it over and decided that they didn’t want girls going to school and getting their education anymore.
