Macduff As A Foil To Macbeth
A foil to Macbeth this could well be the one known as Macduff. Macduff is a main character of Macbeth in my own eyes. When King Duncan was found in Macbeth’s castle dead and Duncan’s two son’s fled the pronounced that Macbeth should be the new king. When they took Macbeth to do his “swearing in ceremony” Macduff didn’t attend and he went home to his wife and kids. Macbeth had always asked him to attend a feast he never replied and never showed up. Later in the play in act four Macduff fled Scotland to go to England to find Malcom who was supposed to be the next rightful rule or Scotland after his father Duncan. Macduff persuaded Malcom to come back and when he agreed the King of England let Malcom lead an army to Scotland to fight Macbeth.
