SUBJECT: Project Team Leadership
SUMMARY: Our Company has added a new department as part of the strategic plan for a particular market segment. My initial self-personality assessment test suggests that I am very well organized, which is accurate. This proves that the assessment tests designed by our HR team is credible and can be used further for the rest of our members. My personality assessment also indicated my sensitivity to deadlines and my keen eye on details. Both are correct because I always follow instructions and make sure quality of the deliverables are at their best. Since I will be the team leader, I will be responsible for the quality of the deliverables, and this will improve accountability, not just for me, but also for the team members. I also perform extremely well because of my skills as a team leader and my experience, education, and training has taught me the principles of time management, which can be critical in meeting deadlines and setting priorities to objectives. My self-assessment test will highlight both my strengths and weaknesses and will also determine if I have the skills and personality expected from an ideal

Self assessments have been used widely in recent decades. The usefulness and truthfulness of these assessments depend entirely upon the user. Utilizing a self assessment tool for the betterment of self is the goal of this report. In this report, I have completed 3 different self assessments to analyze myself. The first assessment that will be discussed is the Jung Personality Test. The next one will be the Team Role Preference Survey followed by the Work Locus of Control Survey. Each of these surveys focuses on various behavioural and personality traits. The Jung Personality Test focuses on four principal physiological functions by which we view the world: feeling, intuition, sensation, and thinking. The team Role Preference Survey is geared towards identifying an individual's preferred roles in meetings and team activities. The Work Locus of Control is designed to determine control beliefs in the workplace. The results obtained from the three surveys indicated predominantly what I already knew about myself. My teamwork ability and my interpersonal skills allow me to be an effective mediator. My locus of control being in-between confirms my suspicion that I believe in effort equals reward but also that external factors are always an influence.…

    Team Leadership Memo Mgt

In accordance with the company’s initiative toward entering a new marketplace, I have been asked to create this memo. Recently, I have been paired into a team with the assignment to meet the goals and expectations of the company. I, Albert Johnson, will team with Anthony Buglisi, Yoshika Middlebrooks, Timothy Ray and Latesha Wilkinson in order to attain the goals assigned to our group. We share a lot of similarities, while at the same time, maintain a status of being diverse individuals. By looking at the type of people we are, I think the best approach for us would be along the lines of a democratic atmosphere around our ideas around leadership. The similarities of our group can allow for an easier time for agreement on various subjects. However, the differences in approach between us will help illuminate what the main issues are; that need addressing. Whereas Timothy and I are very creative on our toes for solutions, we sometimes are willing to take risks that could be detrimental to the company without our knowing. This is where Anthony and Yoshika’s worth comes especially in this group. Any idea that pops up can be disputed and dissected for its pros and cons by Anthony and Yoshika. Latesha’s value to the group is that she’s highly persuasive. Whatever idea the group decides to agree on, Latesha is convincing enough to sell the ideas to fellow employees for support and execution, our managers for approval and to our customers for patronage. However, Latesha won’t just promote any type of idea that we, as a group, come up with. It needs to make sense and be the best possible product for the group. Now this is not to state that Timothy can’t convince people to buy into any idea, or that Latesha won’t be of any help in any type of conversation on whether an idea works. I’m only pointing out the biggest strengths of each team member. A group with democratic leadership allows for communication between all members of the group. Yoshika…

I agree with the personality test’s result describing me as a leader that likes challenges and obstacles. I especially enjoy when people say I’m not capable of accomplishing something, it gives me motivation to prove them wrong and reestablishes how much of an ENTJ I am. ENTJ’s are ruthless in accomplishing their goals and if they find someone that shares the same ambition, they find themselves in the perfect team to crush competition. I agree that I feel motivated and challenged to work with people that are determined to do well. I really dislike to be surrounded by people that are lazy and don’t think outside the box, it is like nails on a chalk board to be surrounded by this kind of people that lack ambition. I believe the result of the personality test was spot on.…

    Enfj Personality

The results of the personality assessment indicated that I have an ENFJ personality. After reading the description I was surprised to see how accurate the results were. ENFJ’s are global learners and they see the big picture (Butt, 2005). These characteristics are similar to my preferred learning style. The VARK questionnaire indicated that my preferred learning preference is visual. Visual learners are also known to be good at seeing the big picture (Silverman, 2003). The personality assessment goes on to say ENFJs have the ability to juggle a number of duties at one time (Butt, 2005). The ability to juggle several things at one time is a trait that enabled me to advance to a team leader position at my current job. ENFJs are known to be people that like to enable and help others (Butt, 2005). My need to help people is what drew me to the field of healthcare. I am known to go above and beyond the call of duty to help others. This is a trait that can play a part in hindering my career or a tool that can be used for advancement. It hinders me because at times I work so hard to help others that I have neglected my own needs. Neglecting my needs leads me to being over worked and sleep deprived. Coming to work with not enough rest is an easy way to make careless mistakes. This can have a negative effect on my work performance. On the flip side, my supervisors have recognized how I enjoy helping and enabling others. These traits could ultimately be helpful as I begin to transition into a leadership role. I have enabled people by helping them recognize their strengths and pushing them to believe in themselves. This confidence enables them to be more successful in the work place. These characteristics I display were also results of the Work Style Assessment I completed. The results indicated openness to improvement. It described me as having strong…
