Introduction In this twentieth century, every choice that we make greatly affects our surroundings whether it is advantageous or not. Relative to this, our country has chosen to take the path towards modernization. This change had caused various improvements in different aspects in the society such as commercialization. Consequently, rapid progress due to modernization had affected not just the natural balance in our nature but also our way of living. Thus, to stop these problems in getting worse, careful and precise decisions must be made and taken into action. . Green architecture is one of the solutions in resolving the disadvantages of the advancements that we are going through. It is revised way of building infrastructures which will not cause any negative effects to the environment as well as to the people in the society. Green building involves modifications in the traditional way of construction which also meets the high-quality standard of a building that will be fitted in our common way of living. Due to the fast-pacing development of our country towards modernization, the introduction of the Green Architecture Movement is advantageous for the Philippines because of its environment-friendly approach, energy-efficient buildings and sustainable building designs.
Disadvantages of Modernization In our modern era, the advantages of modernization had been evident in the Philippines. Establishment of commercial buildings gave way for the country to enter the international market. Other improvements include discoveries in the field of medicine, mode of transportation and some useful devices. These advancements are useful in raising the economy of the country to develop a more efficient way of living for the people.
