Mother Teresa once said, "We can cure physical diseases with medicine, but the only cure for loneliness, despair, and hopelessness is love." An institution such as Loma Linda, acknowledges the natural limitations of medicine and places a great emphasis on the integration of spiritual, ethical and relational issues from a Christian perspective into the practice of medicine.
