Explain why physical activity is important to the short and long-term health and wellbeing of children.

Physical activity is very important to young people’s well- being, it has a lot of physical benefits as well as emotional benefits because it boost children and young people’s self -esteem. Physical activity boost energy and also drives away stress .It also helps to get rid of infectious diseases such as cold and flu because it strengthens the immune system.

There are a lot of benefits which comes with physical activity to young people and children these are It helps to control weight. Physically active children prevent obesity which can cause a lot of problems in their future. Being obese can cause many health problems like diabetes, heart diseases and stroke. Physical activities can help to control weight.

Physical activity is also important because it causes bones to be strong; there is a condition that usually affects people later in life where bones will just break easily so with exercise bones will be strong and not affected later in life.
They are certain type of cancers that can be reduced by physical activity, such as colon cancer.
Physical activity is very important in young people because it causes them to be more confident and will not fear to take up some challenges during play. It also helps to strengthen their muscles and help with fine motor skills. Physical activity also helps in social interaction of children since they will be playing with their peers, making friends and building relationship.
On a short- term benefit physical activity can boost energy and can remove stress in young people. Their immune system is become stronger. Children who are physically active are more likely to show good social skills, they are confident and they achieve their full developmental potential.
