Leonardo Da Vinci Research Paper
Da Vinci’s flying machine,
“At the moment have developed air crafts, but in 15th century Da Vinci give the start by observing winged animals and make possible human flying, by designing flying machine 1st time”. It is one of the best invention of Da Vinci, and also it is known as “ornithopter” (Leonardo Da Vinci Inventions, 2008)
The pilot would lie face down in the center of the invention on a board. To power the wings, the pilot would pedal a crank connected to a rod-and-pulley system. The machine also had a hand crank for increased energy output, and a head piece for steering. As the busy pilot spins cranks with his hands and feet, the wings of the machine flap. Aerial Screw,
"If this instrument made with a screw be well made – that is to say, made of linen of which the pores are stopped up with starch and be turned swiftly, the said screw will make its spiral in the air and it will rise high." (Leonardo Da Vinci Inventions, 2008).Da Vinci design this instrument for compressing air like a form of screw which can obtain the flight. At the moment also air craft form has special role when it is flying. It seems like that renaissance period also have the knowledge to give a form follow that function.

Da Vinci's self-propelled cart,
“Da Vinci's self-propelled cart can be looked at as history's first car. In fact, because it has no driver, it can be looked at as history's first robot vehicle, too.” (geniusstuff.com, n.d.)
The drawings that Da Vinci is sketched of the car, that is use the spring coiled an uncoiled mechanism to forward the cart it is also kind of a toy car also which have robotic characteristics.
