"Leading" in Petronas
“Leading” continuing the management role in PETRONAS, where it is playing such an important role in driving the company forward and toward the goal. If in “planning “it is discusses more about what the target or what should company would become in 5 years and others, therefor in “leading” is how can the company achieved that such of goal.
Managing and leading are not the same activity. A manager manages employees; this person makes sure that tasks are completed on time and policies are followed. Employees typically follow managers because he or she is the supervisor and in-charge of employees. Employees see a leader as someone that motivates them and guides them to help meet the firm’s goals. In an ideal situation, the manager also serves as the leader. Managers who want to lead effectively need to discover what motivates their employees and inspire them to reach the company objectives.
There are a few ways to guide the company so that it can achieve their goal:- * Create clear vision and mission * Create a strong culture * Motivate the workers

1. Create clear vision and mission
Vision and mission is two different things that talk about same topic, about the goal of the company itself, it must be cleared, easy to understanding, and show the goal of the company. Like in Petronas their vision is:

“TO BE A LEADING OIL AND GAS MULTINATIONAL OF CHOICE”.

It not just like plying with the words, but it is show the goal of the company, by looking in to it employees will know what the target of the company is and at the same time will motivate them to achieve it.

Mission is some kinds of statement that shows what are the company really are, well-written mission statements are excellent tools to inform others about what’s important and what the company really are. Petronas has state a very clear mission statement:
