1. If economic conditions require you to accept a job that is not exactly what you are aiming for, how can you best approach the new job? What are the benefits of doing so?
If economic conditions require that I accept a job that isn’t exactly what I am aiming for I would approach this job giving my full potential in hopes that I will eventually be able to climb the ladder and reach a position in my life where I want to be career wise. The benefits of doing this will allow me the experience that I need until the time comes for me to move on to my chosen career goal.
2. Is it more advantageous for the applicant or the interview to bring up the subject of salary first? Why?
It will be more advantageous for the interview to bring up the subject of salary first. However, after the employer I have addressed my all my qualifications I could then ask what is the offered salary for a person with my qualification a skills.
3. What is an appropriate response when an interviewer asks what salary you are looking for?
An appropriate response when an employer asks me what salary I am looking for, I would respond by asking what figure the company is planning to pay. That way if the salary is more than what I expected I can be somewhat at an advantage in salary negotiations.
4. Base your answers on the following questions on your salary research: (a)What is the entry-level salary for the job you are seeking? (b) What salary range do you plan to seek in your job search? What is this range based on?
The entry level salary for a career in Juvenile probation officer is $48,190 per year. I plan start my job search with the salary range from $30,000 to $48,190 annually. This pay range is based on education obtain, experience and passing oral, written, and psychological exams.
