Kent Hurlburt's Purpose To Join The Army
Kent Hurlburt decided to make and interesting and exciting military life when he chose to join the Army. He was a 19 year old Connecticut boy looking for an opportunity. Luckily after his life in the military, Kent was able to earn a job after college as a principal at a small school named Buttonball lane elementary in Glastonbury, Connecticut where he still lives. Everyday my mom and Kent work together to make the school they work in great. Kent was an average teenage boy who wanted to go into the military for an exciting life and the opportunities to come.

All Kent did after the war, was family time. This was before doing what he had to do next in his new life. Getting out was the best feeling you can have. Finally free, finally can transition back to a normal life. The military is weird, you miss some parts but some you feel relief that they are gone. Kent missed only a few part but would not want to go back.
The military shapes you into an all around person, and for some a man. The value of hard work, discipline and your country are the things that were hammered into you day after day. The mission was the chance to give back to your country, and it was Kent was certain about taking. His family was truly missed and everything he had back home would be to, but there were no regrets. Something good was bound to come out of what he was doing and that is what he always had on him mind. 19 years ago, still would have gotten on that plane.
It’s all about your decision and what your willing to sacrifice. What sacrifice are you willing to take to make people safe and suffer through hard work and determination. This is a personal choice and should not be told what to do. He would tell kids, “think, is this really something I want to do”. Kent’s recommendation for this life choice is a no.
