His campaign takes place on a ranch with a horse, which persuades the audience to vote for him in the category he is running for. In this particular ad the targeted audience is made up of Republicans and those who may not belong to a political party. This ad was about presenting McGovern as a man who cared about the people and was for the people. This approach was accomplished through the use of informal interviews that asked people to describe how included they felt in McGovern’s election process. The only issue that was brought up by McGovern was the issue about campaign funding stating that his Republican candidate uses the wealthy elites who expect favors to cover the cost of his campaign where as he uses the small but numerous contributions from the middle class majority to try to change the future. This ad had an overall pleasant attitude however, it was kind of pointed at targeting his opponent. There are several different types of advertising in the world today, like newspaper ads and magazine ads. Then there are commercials, they can be very manipulative in persuading specific audiences to buy their products. In the Pepsi Next “Dancing Baby” commercial, they use what is called a trick image. It is the funniest part of the commercial and is what makes it so appealing. This trick image is the baby in the back ground dancing and doing tricks; it is very eye catching and hilarious in my opinion. This commercial uses different types of appeals to make it more interesting. The husband and wife mention some of the statistics about the product to help enhance Pepsi Next. The target audience is parents of children six months to one year of age and new mothers trying to lose weight. This commercial affects me positively because it is funny and the statistics are true.…
Designers of all political parties, not just the Left, are capable of encouraging positive and negative change in the world. Graphic Designers, Cartoonists, and the Mainstream Media, are all aware of how impactful a strong emotional response can be, especially before a political event or poll takes place. Designers and Cartoonists draw inspiration from the media and social issues and incorporate them into their work. A picture is not exactly truthful these days and it is important to understand that the media can easily turn a picture into something it is not. Designers should take caution in developing political campaigns that use media stories and images to create more…
