Jesus Resurrection Term Papers
Imagine having no limits, no limit on anything. This includes the power to create anything, be anything, anyone who you choose to be. Conjure up any idea possible and think about what it would be like to be able to do it with no remorse, no questions, no restraint. A plan so unimaginable not any other person could comprehend it. A person so strong no army could stop them. Imagine being so immense they're unavoidable. It can be hard to fathom anyone being so dominating, so in control. In a way that is true because the only thing that fulfills these qualities above is the God Almighty. God in every way has the attribute of infinity, He is outside of time, He has always existed, and lastly he knows and controls all things.

The witness accounts of Jesus' resurrection is also proof of the Holy Trinity's infinite abilities. This attribute often confuses people and might even deter them from their faith if they already believe in God. For those who are unbelievers I think this attribute is even harder to wrap your head around. Even for me a person who believed in God since before preschool this topic confuses me. On the other hand I also know that this attribute also has great influence on believers and non-believers because if you have no idea how the world was made or how it was created then you can get an understand of how that might have happened. Infinitude shows great power and strength but overall is so complex it's hard to describe in words people can understand. I think God intended to to be that way because as humans we aren't meant to know everything, our imperfect mind wouldn't be able to handle that kind of complexity, and we wouldn't be as separated from God in the power sense. I love talking about this topic in general but if it gets to deep I think it can start to warp your idea of the universe as whole, and the idea of what kind of power God really has. I like the dumbed down version God gave to us even if it is still complex, God just knew what we needed to know and gave us the ability to understand it.     The Jesus Creed has really helped me to look at Scripture from what I believe is a more biblical and Jesus centered perspective. While I have read the words Jesus used from Deuteronomy 6:4-9 and Leviticus 19:18 many times in Scripture, I never considered how all His teachings might have stemmed from them. I did not know Jesus had amended the Shema of Judaism because I didn’t know there was a Shema before reading this book, but now knowing this I can more clearly see what Jesus was doing. He was correcting a misunderstanding how some used and understood the Torah. Most paid excellent attention to the letter of the Law; however they had failed to grasp the message that God had called them to partake in His redemptive mission. Just as the Israelites got tangled up with the letter of the Law and missed their calling, are we as the Church today also failing to answer the same call? I believe it’s far too easy to make a case that we are, especially in America. Jesus redefines what it means to love God, instead of showing love to God by observing the Torah, Jesus calls people to follow Him, and in doing so He equates loving God to having a personal relationship with Himself thereby amending the Shema, making it personal. Next, He adds to the Shema by using a Leviticus passage saying “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Love of God and love of others is the core of Jesus’ Shema and loving God means following Jesus. McKnight believes the Jesus Creed is the foundation of everything Jesus teaches about spiritual formation and after having read his book I have to say I agree. Everything Jesus does is out of love for God and for others as illustrated time and time again throughout the Gospels.…
