Jake Solomon Alternate Ending
Jake Solomon floated through the realm of dreams, each showing Jake a glimpse into different realms each having different laws, beings, planets, creatures, and so on. It was a normal thing for Jake Solomon, but it was something he never remembered. He drifted through many like it was on a filter, guiding Jake's soul through a multitude of realms. He never seemed to stop, each realm flickering away like flashing lights.

But today, it seemed like his realm floating days were over. As his minuscule, mortal soul flickered in fear in front of the being that stood in front of it, Jake awoke from the dazed stupor that he experienced with every dream. His mind snapped awake as he noticed where he was, confusion and panic seen through his incessant

A huge, looming mass of black and white. Each color battling each other at their borders, constantly moving.

It had two large eyes that changed from black to white depending on what color its eyes rested on. When its eyes were on black mass, it turned white, and vice versa. Jake couldn't comprehend what was happening, fear and confusion being the only emotion present in his mind.

"You interest me, child." The voice once again boomed, a large tendril of swirling black and white moved towards Jake's soul. It stabbed into Jake's blue, flickering soul. A searing pain spread throughout Jake, leaving him to let out a voiceless wheeze of pain. The only thing that passed his mind was fear and pain.

Yet as his soul experienced pain unfit for a mortal soul, a warm, yet cold energy seeped in unnoticed by Jake, slowly changing his soul from an indigo blue to a mix of gold and silver. Then, a calm, yet chaotic energy made its way into Jake, once again changing Jake's soul. This lasted only a few seconds, but to Jake, it felt like an eternity. I rose from sleep and went searching for anyone to spend time with, but they all seemed to be frozen, like statues in a museum. I tapped on the shoulder of Jake, but he didn't move or even blink, and I screamed in terror and tasted metallic blood on my tongue. What is happening? I thought to myself as I sprinted to my room and tried, unsuccessfully, to fall back asleep. Eventually, I could, and when I woke up, the world seemed like it was back to normal, with the sound of people's laughter and conversations filling the once empty space.…

William sighed happily at the solitude he greatly enjoyed in the mindscape. He quietly hummed to himself. Ever since his brother was busy tormenting some new puppet of his named Dipper Pines, (or as he called him, Pinetree) it has been quiet. The silence never tore into him. In fact, talking tore into the young demon more than the silence. His thoughts were interrupted by black void surrounding him. He looks around, startled. He had no idea what was going on and this had never happened before. He saw a flash of pale yellow light, almost white and felt himself being pulled towards it. He heard voices the more he was pulled.…

A slight breeze blew throughout the dandy forest, swaying the stiff lifeless trees and blowing the black stained leaves across my bare white feet. As I stumbled across the dead landscape, a slight fog swam around blending in with the increasingly falling snow. Hundreds of dark wood surrounding me seemed to slowly cave in, creating a narrow cave-like passage. An eerie feeling swept over me, and I stopped completely, analysing every detail around me. The smog became thicker, blinding the scenery and almost completely covering my vision. I sensed an inhuman presence watching me, and flinched whenever a snapping sound came from a faraway distance. I slowly turned around and began pacing in the direction I came from. The fog smothered me but I kept running,…

It seemed like I was wandering into a different dimension. My senses were becoming acquainted to new feelings: guttural whispers, excruciating odour, ponderous glass-like air and the cemented, pungent, taste of death! As I opened the door candlelight rose to greet me but who lit them? I was informed that the secluded house I was purchasing has been unoccupied forever.…

My face was a river, water tumbled from the top of my head to the bottom of my chin.…

In the beginning, Jake appears to be totally disconnected and alienated from the natural environment. He can't relax because he is afraid of it and views it as something dangerous that needs to be tamed by humans. When he starts living with the Na'vi and is taught their ways, he has difficulty assimilating. As Neytiri points out in their first encounter, Jake's alienation from nature makes him "ignorant like a child" (Avatar) and unable to appreciate and live in the natural environment. However, he slowly changes and finally becomes part of nature's network. The change starts from the outside and slowly moves to the inside. He first changes on the surface, that is a change of the body, but soon Jake feels an internal confusion. He is not sure in which world he belongs and who he really is. He admits that he can barely remember his old life and that the Na'vi's world seems more authentic. He finally realizes the energy that exists in nature and learns to appreciate every living organism. He admits that he has fallen in love with the forest and with the Na'vi's way of living. He even reaches to the point of fighting against humans to protect Pandora's natural environment and the Na'vi's way of life. Jake is transformed from a contemporary individual…
