In the case study Island Shades, Terry is an entrepreneur interested in selling eyewear. When starting up a business it is not only important to identify your target market, but whether or not the product you are intending on selling is one in demand. A prospective business owner who researches and establishes a comprehensive plan helps clarify the mission of the business.
Terry clearly defined her intended demographic market by identifying the age range, income level, and type of purchasing client. She also identified objectives of the organization by establishing a timeline of the goals.
