Isep Reflection
1) Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering Partnership (ISEP). Since January 2016, I have been an ISEP classroom assistant and in this role, I work 4-5 hours every week at Bennett High School in Living Environment, Earth Science and Algebra 2 classes of about 20 students. I support the teachers by contributing to the production and implementation of multiple hands-on in-class activities designed to prepare students for external examinations. Additionally, I serve as a mentor to the students and I routinely provide information about what being a UB engineering student represents.

2) UB Sustainability ZeroWaste Volunteer. During the Fall 2015 semester, I volunteered to be a part of the UB Football and UB Sustainability initiative

Morrow’s professional contributions have been and continue to be filled with a desire to help students as well as focused on mentoring young professionals. During her tenure at Gallaudet she was involved in mentoring junior faculty, teaching assistants and student laboratory teachers. Her desire to nurture and help young people continued into her retirement as she is now serving as a STEM Program Director for the DC Metropolitan area HBCU Alumni Alliance. Objectives of the STEM workshop are to provide opportunities for the students to conduct experiments with graduates of HBCUs who are currently working in STEM-related occupations. In addition, the students have an opportunity to talk to the scientists to learn more about their STEM profession and to develop mentoring opportunities. The most meaningful service activities that I have performed while at UTD would definitely be leading the volunteering team at Jonathan's Place, an emergency shelter for homeless kids. I had the honor to volunteer as a member of the Global Business Organization since August 2015, and took over the program in the Fall of 2016. During my visits at Jonathan's Place, I understood the value of education and love. The children that live at the shelter have gone through different types of domestic violence, and require a lot of attention and patience. Those small kids have thought me to appreciate my life in a way that I would have never been able to do by myself. I have been so move and change through these volunteering activities that I will continue…

Here are some CDC IEPs at a glance. I know the skills are not exactly the same as Jonathan, but I think seeing these will be helpful to you. Also the IEPs mentions "inclusion lunch and inclusion recess", we handle this in two different ways depending on the student's level of functioning. My lower functioning students go to lunch/recess together and are supported by an assistant or assistants. My higher functioning students go to lunch and recess with their grade level inclusion teacher at the inclusion teacher's assigned time without any assistant support. The students in the inclusion classes have been very supportive of the students in my classroom. While my lower functioning students are at lunch, I work with my higher functioning kiddos…

The third program I helped with was a soccer tournament that my fellow Bhutanese immigrants organized between teams from other states. As I volunteered there, I helped prepare food for the players, I picked up the trash, and I gave water to the players after the game. The purpose of the soccer tournament was to have fun and enjoy playing sports. I would like to join a soccer team when I go to high school. In the future, I would like to volunteer in a program that helps people who are facing cancer.…

Reflection allows an individual to identify the reasons or purpose of understanding the outcome of a particular situation in depth in term of emotions on thought and feeling on the topic area. In addition, Reflection is something that we do implicitly as part of being human, underpinning our identities through a process of negotiation between our sense of self and our experiences of others (Demetriou, 2000, p.210). Therefore, I have implemented this quote in my professional and personal goals I wanted and have achieved thought-out the process of the module.
