My interest in nursing started when I was a sophomore in high school. I was rushed to the emergency room not knowing what was wrong with me. Through this process I had interacted with many different kinds of nurses, and they all stuck out to me in many variety of ways. From that moment on I knew that I wanted to be a pediatric nurse, to help the community in the same way they helped me.
While I was in the hospital,” instead of giving up in the face of the setbacks or disappointments, I stayed hopeful and optimistic” (Handout, pp. 2). I also can, “soothe or contain distressing feelings, so that they don’t keep me from doing things I need to do” (Handout, p. 2). This shows that my emotional intelligence is more optimistic rather then closed

This shows that when I am in a situation when I need to be the leader, I am not afraid to tell my employers on what they need to work on and what they need to accomplish. But, “when making these decisions, I give a great deal of weight to the way my superior likes to have things done” (Handout, p.3). Also, when giving people commands I think that it is very important to know why I am giving those commands and making sure I have enough understanding to back it up. All these examples show that when assessing my Tacit Knowledge, I have realized that I am applying tactic knowledge to a wide range of circumstances.
Applying Emotional Intelligence with Tacit Knowledge correctly is an important skill as an employer. Knowing how to interact as a group member as a nurse in the hospital is key. There will be many situations that I will need to interact with other nurses to help save someone’s life. Tactic Knowledge is helpful in a verity of ways when being a nurse. Such as, when there is an emergency with a patient you need to know what is the most important to what is least important to do in that

My interest in nursing started when I was 6 years old, when I volunteered to help my aunt at the clinic she worked in as a nurse. Over the summers, I learned a lot about healthcare, nurturing, and empowerment. I also discovered through the interactions with the residents how therapeutic and comforting an encouraging smile, a friendly conversation and a helpful hand could be. I established strong relationships with several of the residents. I especially treasured my time with Charlene, a funny 56 year old resident. She showed me that helping others is one of life's greatest gifts. For that wisdom, I will always be grateful.…

This papers focus is the cumulative analysis of my own EI (also known as social intelligence) and the interactions that may occur in my University of Phoenix team.…
