Supervisors,

In order to maintain proper accountability and tracking on the location of inmate’s transported to the Hospital and or Dr. Appointments the following steps shall be required to conduct this task:

1. Prior to departing the Hernando County Detention Center ensures that the proper Inmate identification and classification status has been determinate by the Transport Deputy and the Shift Commander.

2. Notify the Booking Department of the transport in progress to acquire a Criminal History via NCIC and FCIC of the inmate (s) being transported and the Inmate’s Face Sheet.

3. Once the Booking Department confirms the and verifies the Inmate’s Criminal History, identity and the classification status of the inmate being transported out the facility, the Booking Deputy shall properly CHECK OUT the inmate to the proper destination by using the following codes in JMS:

This check and balance will allow us to properly track the Hospital Hours Spend, Outside Physician Appointments and the Over Time Hours Spend.

Keep in mind that if an inmate has a doctor’s appointment even if it’s at the hospital if they aren’t admitted it should just be doctor’s
