Informative Speech On Hazing In America
Hazing in america has always been a problem and I want to stop it. Some of the things that I’m going to talk about are what is classified as hazing, what is hazing, and how to stop hazing. What should have happened by now is that hazing should have been stopped and I am going to show you why.

Most of you or at least some of you are probably wondering what hazing is. Hazing is most of the time a humiliating thing that you are made to do by other people to join a club, team, fraternity, and other things. One type of hazing that I know happened was a high school hockey team made the freshmen swallow a live goldfish before you can join the team. Another type of hazing is “subtle” hazing where they give the new person or people jobs or chores that other people don’t want to do. …show more content…
There are people out there who think that hazing is fine but not me. Hazing should be a crime where depending on who bad the hazing was depends on how long they should be in jail. “Hazing includes but is not limited to ant type of physical brutality. Physical activity that subjects the student to unreasonable risk or harm. The consumption of any food, liquid, or substance that subjects the student to unreasonable risk or harm. Any activity that causes or requires the student to perform a task that involves violation of state or federal law.” (Hank Nuwer). Now that you know what is classified as hazing it’s time to stop it.

They way to stop hazing is making sure it doesn't happen. What we need is a law that basically says “If a student is caught hazing a student younger than them that student will be suspended or expelled depending on what the school deems fit.” Another way to stop hazing is to look out for your teammates, club members, or what ever you are in and make sure that they don’t get hazed. Hazing has never been a good thing and is still around if you look close
