COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course on Global Business Strategy introduces, explores and applies the major concepts, tools, and techniques of global strategy formulation and implementation. The subject focuses on developing strategies for and on managing the operations of companies whose activities cross national boundaries. CLASS SESSIONS:
Class sessions will consist of a mixture of lectures, discussions, case reviews and analyses. Student assignments (individual or team reports) will be presented to the class verbally. A limited number of guest speakers will be invited or presented by video to offer the benefits of their expertise to the seminar.
Class attendance is required and is essential since many topics are covered in part through in-class lectures, discussions, power point presentations and videos. Class participation in discussions is also expected and required.
This course provides you with a major learning opportunity. More so than in the other international business courses that I teach, which include big dosages of presentations by me, here members of the class play larger and significant roles. All members of the class will make presentations based on case study assignments and article readings. Nearly always, the presentations are very successful. The members of the class are asked to provide for everyone detailed outlines of their presentations. It is
