In 8th grade, I was told I needed to remember poem from my book. I had to read it hundreds of time just to remember it long enough for my teacher to know that I have it memorized. It was 12-13 years back I guess. Today I only remember only half of it’s first line. Now, 15-16 years back movie starring Akshay Kumar, Raveena Tandon and Sunil Shetty came – Mohra. It had song – “Tu Cheez Badi Hai Mast Mast“. I had heard it couple of times only, and remembered whole song, and today after so many years, I still remember almost whole song even though I haven’t heard it for long time.
My point is simple – What you read and hear is different than What you see and feel part of.
We see many movies, and most of it all remembers because of interest we take in them, and situations created in movies, we also feel part of it, relate to it. We attach with emotions of movie and remember it for long time. But when you clap for good message in movie, do you yourself adopt that message in your life? Lets go over few movies, which had message for all and what’s my take on them. * Lage Raho Munna Bhai – Gandhigiri by use of nonviolence and love
In 21st century, sorry sir but I can’t present my 2nd cheek. You give me one, I will give you two. Hearts these days doesn’t melt too quick. If I keep taking, I will keep getting! * 3 Idiots – Education for Interest, Family freedom to follow dream
Parents may be flexible and allow you to follow your dream, but education system don’t think will be kind. Read 1000 page to use knowledge of 100 pages in whole life. * Taare Zameen Par – Go easy on Child, Not all can get 100 out of 100
Parents still are waking kids to force them in studying hours even after school, so this was a waste of time! And if kid doesn’t sit right away, gets good Whooping! * Rang De Basanti – Young Generation

That is why I believe that school should have a later start time. "Teenagers are being asked to get up at the wrong time. They are being asked to be in school when their brains are still asleep” (Carskadon). Studies have shown that schools with a start time between eight and eight thirty-five had a sixty-six percent decrease in tardiness. There were also major increases in the grades of first hour classes. A lot of students are not getting their work done at home because they are so tired from the long, busy day of school therefore, their grades are dropping. One reason I think this is that kids go to bed late staying up doing homework or getting back from school events. Kids in our school district are so involved with extra circular activities, which I think is a good thing. We want our kids to be involved, but we also want them to be successful with their school work. My daughter Mariah told me the other night after her far away basketball game…
