I Pursue My Pre-Clinical Degree
I have always been intrigued by the medical sciences and their clinical applications for patient care. While earning my D.D.S., I engaged in providing compassionate and patient-centered care using the knowledge I had acquired in my pre-clinical courses. I made my decision to apply to an MD program in an effort to further expand my medical knowledge as this expertise in the field of medicine will allow me to become a better physician to provide more complete and comprehensive patient care.

I believe that I can contribute to WVU SOM’s communal ties to help foster change and improve healthcare on both a community scale and a state scale. I believe WVU will offer the opportunities to serve rural areas that lack access to health care, an issue I hope to also improve in my local community. I am interested in learning about the university’s and state’s plan to address underserved populations. Moreover, I believe WVU SOM’s program will provide me the tools to teach patients about their health. I believe transferring knowledge to the community will be the first step in encouraging and changing to healthy lifestyles.…
