We as teenagers are growing up every day. Getting smarter and more ready for life. But sometimes it's nice to look back to see how much we have grown up and learned. Tom is about the same age as we are. This character is very relatable to many kids. Like stretching the truth, not doing the best things, but we all learn from that. Making mistakes is one of the best ways to learn in life. So Tom is just like us in one way or another. Throughout the book Tom has changed as a person in many ways. In the very beginning of the book, Tom lied a whole lot and he was also very good with words too. But he started to change very slowly lying less and less. All through my life I've been getting smarter and better at reading. I have struggled with but still got through them. Last year, I had a lot of missing assignments but this year I have not have as many. This school expects a lot from you and you need to push through it, man up, and take it. I also know school is not going to help you in this day and age but it's a start. I have learned through all my school years but it has been the same exact thing. School does not help you prepare for life outside of school. For me it made me feel stupid and out of place but I know where I stand now. I have also grown up not by just learning but by socializing with other people. Ever since I was small, beginning in elementary I felt it was very hard to fit in. I was always left out from other groups. I got made fun of because of what what I wore and ate but I did not think much of it, but I always felt like an outsider. Then I found where I fit in, I fit in with other people who are different just like me and we have become great friends. I have a lot more friends this year than any other but I do look back sometimes. I am growing up every day no matter what people say. I will push through this year and
