How To Write An Essay About The Columbia Space Shuttle
The space shuttle, Columbia launched on January 16th, 2003. On February 1st of the same year, the shuttle fell back to Earth at an alarming rate with technical malfunctions. Eventually, the space shuttle blew up and unfortunately killed all of the astronauts on board. It was later found that this piece of foam broke off of the external tank during the initial takeoff. As a result, gas slowly penetrated the space shuttle. As the space shuttle made its approach, readings were lost and eventually communication to the spacecraft. The Columbia was slowly breaking apart as it travelled through Earth’s atmosphere.
