How To Write A Short Story: Aquatic Lake
A light breeze amongst the night produced small ripples in the reflective texture of the aquatic lake. It shifted some dark brown hair across the forehead of a boy gazing at the passing boats. James was obsessed with boats moving along the lake, every night before he went in for supper he would walk out by the lake and watch people drive their boats back to shore. Something about them added piquancy to his day. Sometimes, when James was looking he would often see a man walking out in the middle of the lake. James never thought of it him that much, he always thought the man was a part of his own chimerical imagination. He always wore a long, dark blue, coat that reached his knees, and had a very dilapidated white captain hat with a blue brim …show more content…
He never really took this to mind, after all there is no way a man could walk on water to the middle of a lake then disappear completely. Until one strange day, when James was observing the lake he saw the captain again, except this time the captain was exceptionally close and he wasn't walking out into the lake. He was walking right towards James! A very bloodcurdling chill bolt down his spine. He was too scared to move, but a small part of him was curious into who this man really was and if he was real or not. He held a lantern that allowed James to see his gray beard and his dark eyes. He stood in front of the captain without a word to say. Then the man simply said “Come with me”. James still frozen in his fright finally obtained the courage to ask “Who are you”. The man didn't reply, as he walked down near the shoreline. James felt relieved that he was leaving but still anxious to find out what's going on. He decided to follow the strange captain. When they both got to the water James paused, “Now what?” The captain proceeded to walk on top of the water like it was solid

“‘The black bass thinks he can be king of the fish, but all he wants is to eat them. The black bass is a killer. But the real kind is the golden carp, Tony. He does not eat his own kind-’ Cico’s eyes remained glued on the dark waters. His body was motionless, like a spring awaiting release. We had been whispering since we arrived at the pond, why I don’t know, except that it was just one of those places where one can communicate only in whispers, like church. We sat for a long time, waiting for the golden carp. It was very pleasant to sit in the warm sunshine and watch the pure waters drift by. The drone of the summer insects and grasshoppers made me sleepy. The lush green grass was cool, and…

Summertime! The sunshine filters through the verdant lodgepole pine trees towering over our tiny campsite. The aroma of alpine evergreens, crisp mountain air and wispy campfires linger in my memory. Freshly caught trout are frying in the pan, all of which combines to marry the wonder of it all. Our campsite is ten miles east of Glacier National Park in northwestern Montana. This is Duck Lake; a pristine fishing destination nestled in the shadow of the majestic Rocky Mountains. The breathtaking outburst of mountains from the prairies conjures images of nature's own cathedrals. The lake itself lies in a depression created by a mammoth block of ice left behind as the glaciers…

Yesterday Glenn and I experienced Loon Lake here in Northern California, and man was it a great experience! Loon lake is located in Northern California and is adjacent to the legendary Rubicon Trail. Our day started with meeting at In N Out in Auburn CA at 4:30 a.m.....well I was there at 4:30; Glenn showed up around 4:50 but I can say it was fashionably late, at least as fashionable as a person can be that early in the morning. During my twenty minute wait, surprisingly I wasn't alone at this In N out. There were about three vehicles I spotted while sitting on the trunk of my Toyota Solara drinking my morning coffee as I thought to myself...what good reason could someone have for being at a random In N out at such a random time? Keep in mind…

But I am too young to pull a tube behind the boat. I will have to be about 18 before I can. I would like to one day pull one of my family members on a tube. Another thing that I like to doing on the water is slalom. Most people do not know what that is, but it is fun. You are rising on one skee. It takes a long time to learn how to slalom. I have fun and I think you can too. You have to have balance and I think you would like goggles because a lot of water gets in your…

The page following the book’s title depicts a scene at sea. The whole image is washed with a dark blue from the sky to the ocean, and the crashing waves convey a menacing journey has taken place. At the bottom of the page, if one looks closely, it is evident that the bottom of the wooden raft has been drawn but blends into the rest of the image. This inclusion of the raft changes the perspective of the image as the responder is now been positioned as if they were looking out from the raft, the place of the Man. An immediate bond has now been formed between the responder and the man, and for the rest of the text we continue to sympathise with him.…

As he moved his hair danced as if in an unseen wind. His handsome features resembled a canvas that remains in memory for a long time.…

1 Many slept on deck Because of the day’s heat Or to watch a sunset They would never see again – Stretched out on blankets and pillows Against cabins and rails: Shirtless, in shorts, barefooted, Themselves a landscape Of milk-white flesh On a scoured and polished deck. Voices left their caves And silence fell from its shackles, Memories strayed From behind sunken eyes To look for shorelines – Peaks of mountains and green rivers That shared their secrets With storms and exiles.…

First of all, James is incredibly fearless. He had to kill a chicken by plunging a sharp pencil into the back of its head, fight a black-belt until he was beaten half to death and finally retrieve a brick from the bottom of the pool. But that was the hardest of all because he was terribly afraid of water.
