How To Write A Persuasive Speech On School Dress Code
One of the least enforced school policies of today is the school dress code, that is unless one of the assistant principals standing in the hallway is having a bad day, then it is the most enforced policy at my high school. Everyone of our faculty members seem to have an opinion on what's too short, whats too tight, and what just plain out does not look right. School dress code is one of the most outrageous set of rules that us as students have to follow.
Starting off with “shorts must extend to or below the student‘s fingertips when their arms are held to their sides, regardless of any or all clothing that may be worn underneath the dress, skirt or shorts.” So what? Are we just supposed to wear long shorts? Aren’t those just pants? Is it …show more content…
“That are not allowed because “Jeans, slacks, shorts and all other pants must be worn at or about the waist at all times.” Well what if i want to wear pants above my waist, in fact what is i want to wear my pants up to my chest like Steve Urkel? Would i be punished for this? Nerds get to wear their pants off their waist and they're super smart. Are school dress codes is now going around to bash nerds too? Would Albert Einstein be punished for wearing high waisted pants?
Now let's get onto the subject of our shirts, they must cover our shoulders and our whole entire body. It’s a good thing they don’t allow us to show our shoulders. Shoulder showing could really get crazy. I mean, us kids get so turned on by shoulders, who knows what would happen if we all walked around with bare shoulders all day. Especially watching all the football players walk by with their acne covered shoulders. Yummy that’s just what i love to dream about. Staph Infection.
They might as well just make uniforms so that everybody and just be one huge gray blob of indistinguishable nothingness, because you know “diversity is wrong”. which completely agrees with the country’s founding morals.
