Fast Five

Defying some laws of physics, and the laws of sequels, “Fast Five” is the fourth sequel to 2001’s “The Fast and the Furious” that’s worth watching and isn’t an embarrassment to the original picture. “Fast Five” promises us more exhilarating action sequences, fast vintage muscle cars, lots of cold cash and let’s not forget some hot compliant cuties.

The new setting of Brazil takes diehard car thief Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel), ex-cop Brian O’Conner (Paul Walker) and teams them up with FBI agent Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) to pull off “one last job” and take down a Brazilian drug trafficking drug lord before retiring.

Director Justin Lin wastes no time putting everyone on the edge of their seats and tying up the loose ends from the previous movie, with a spectacular bus-flipping jail break for Dom Toretto, which is en route to prison for a twenty-five year prison sentence, led by his sister Mia (Jordana Brewster) and her boyfriend Brian O’Connor. A news anchor from the expositional channel helpfully informs us that no one was killed and only Dom escapes.

It all falls into the wrong (or right) hands of the gang and Hernan Reyes wants it back. Meanwhile, FBI agent (Dwayne Johnson) is hot on their

The actor, 40, spent much of his life on screen behind the wheel of fast cars, walking away from the worst possible pileups in “The Fast and the Furious” franchise. As one of the central players in the hugely popular series, and a part of the cast from its 2001 beginnings, it created a world where there was no curve its drivers couldn’t navigate, no wreck they couldn’t survive. Cars stood for high-octane escape, freedom at 200 mph.…

Tony eventually succeeds for a moment, but when his judgement and pure unluckiness started to overwhelm him, he became a cautionary tale of excesses and greed…

María was the one who appears brave and stable and Blanca, who seems to follow María in whatever she does. All three had their reason for this journey, their family, and their battles along the way. This movie shows the struggle for individuals who have very little options and even fewer resources. The drug lords preyed on individuals like this, who they knew would risk their lives for, what is seen to them, as minimal investment. The decisions that are made by these girls are not only dangerous they can be deadly. In the end, María appeared to have gotten her happy ending, however the journey to get there was inevitably not worth the risk. This story transformation evolves as different events transpire. The moral journey seems to be the most notable. The choices made along the way. The Fast and the Furious series sparked a big interest in teenagers wanting to tune up their cars and have the fastest car out there on the road. This movie is basically in a way an advertisement showing all the new technologies and modifications you can possibly do to your car. What made the series as popular as it is today is the fact that up until 2001 when the first one came out, there was never a movie of this sort made before with all these flashy cars and street races. Some people blame the movie for the increase of street racing that began to occur soon afterwards along with a sudden increase of sales for small high-powered motorcycles.…

One of the important concepts in writing a TOK Essay is making sure you have arguments. TOK doesn’t just want to have one-sided papers. It’s important to make sure that you bring up strong, valid arguments in your paper. The best example that the guide included was to determine whether or not something was an argument is the “therefore test”. If you can add therefore in front of it then it is an argument. It’s also important to make sure your arguments are valid. That means to make sure that if you use arguments from others to make sure the person you’re using a quote from is accredited. Also, your arguments should make logical sense. Although they might not show your opinion, they should still be something that makes sense to you in your head. Along with being valid, your arguments should be backed up by evidence. You should be able to justify every statement made in your paper.…
