Disney World Arriving at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida, one is able to see that it is America’s best-known, busiest, and most profitable tourist attraction. This picturesque park is famous for numerous attractions, such as the Magic Kingdom and delicious food of all types. Disney World, as it is informally known, began on the drawing table in 1960 as a dream of Walt Disney. Although he died in 1966 before his vision was realized, his brother Roy O. Disney continued with the construction of the resort. On October 1, 1971, Disney World opened, and it is now the most visited vacation resort in the world. A trip to Disney World is definitely a fabulous experience. …show more content…
Tourists can step into the past, ride a sleek spaceship into the future, or dance with an animated mouse. The Magic Kingdom certainly delivers the fantasy that it promises. Its most appealing aspect is that everything appears to be so perfect; every building, object, and decoration is sparkling clean. A major point of interest is the nightly parade of animated Disney characters. As a marching band drums in the distance, cartoon characters, like Goofy and Snow White, stop to mingle with the tourists and begin to usher them to the sides of Main Street for a parade. This spectacle differs from any other parade one may have seen. Dressed in embellished and spotless uniforms, the well-ordered, attractive band members hold their instruments at the perfect angle.     An enormous castle fit for any king or queen. The tops look as though they are scraping the sky; colors of pale pink and baby blue grace the tall pillars. A draw bridge decorates the castle. As I gaze into the background, I can see the tip of The Matterhorn, which makes me want to make a mad dash to Frontierland where my favorite Disney attraction awaits. Alas, the Pirates of the Caribbean. As we enter the ride, a scent that is memorable and everlasting overcomes my senses. It is difficult to describe; however, I would say it is a musty, sweet, and wet smell. Sounds gross right? Until you smell if for yourself you will never truly appreciate it. Moving along through each attraction, I can hear The Little Mermaid’s Under the Sea, and look up to see a gigantic crab making its way through the park with the rest of the parade. The loud music and dancing characters will make any adult feel young again. As night approaches, the crowd gathers in front of the castle for one of the greatest experiences of your life, the fireworks. I get choked up as I watch this incredible display of pyrotechnics that creates a Disney experience out of this world.
