How Philosophies That Impacted My Life
Through the stories that I listened to as a child, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, the Little Mermaid, and Pinocchio, the philosophies that were demonstrated impacted my life. They influenced the way I approach decision making in social situations such as school and family life. The true meaning of these fables are meant to help children decipher right from wrong and influence good behavior and decision making. The media also has an increasing impact on the society I grew up in as well from television shows, commercials, and songs. Because of this, Aerie and Dove products gained more popularity. Under this principle of deontology, these companies truly believed that they were doing the right thing based on their actions by spreading positive messages to young women about how to appreciate what they look like. Since the deontological theory states that what we do as a means to an end is important, Aerie and Dove ultimately tries to sell

When you’re walking down the street and see the kids out and about, what are some things that you see that can affect their behavior or even their future possibly? The things that go on in today’s society have played a major role in how this generation, along with others turn out. There are many biopsychosocial influences that could affect me this semester. The main biopsychosocial influence that I believe will have an effect on me is socio – cultural with homesickness and being lonely. I am a triplet and I have always gone to school with my siblings, so not seeing them every day could be a challenge for me. The other biopsychosocial influence that I may deal with this semester is biological with not eating as much as I should because I have classes during lunch most of the week. The last biopsychosocial influence that may impact me this semester is psychological with depression and anxiety because I get really anxious over school work and I also don’t have any classes with my roommate which could lead to me having depression. All of these biopsychosocial influences could seriously have an effect on me this semester.…

A great work of art that has a great impact on my life is the novel A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickson. The story tells of a cold hearted, selfish business man named Ebenezer Scrooge, who is visited by his deceased business partner Jacob Marley and three ghosts on Christmas Eve. Jacob Marley who chained tells Scrooge that he should change his way or he will be punished in the after life. Marley beged for Scrooge to be given a chance to change. The ghost’s job is to persuade Scrooge to change his ways to avoid punishment in the afterlife. The three ghosts show Scrooge past, present, and future events that help Scrooge realize he is wrong and changes Scrooge into a better person. The story has had an impact on my life in many ways. The story taught me that a person’s behavior is a product of their past. If a person is unkind, it is the events that happened in their past that has made them who they are. It’s a reminder that showing compassion toward unkind people can make them a happier. The story has also taught me to treat people with kindness and respect. Lastly the story has taught me to always help the less fortunate because a little kindness can change a person's life.…
