How Man Is Changing the Environment and Biomes.
How is man changing environment or biomes?

Man is drastically changing the environment with all the needs he has. Humans cut down entire forests in the course of a month. Then we build buildings in its place making it impossible for anything to grow there. Those trees were a crucial part to the ecosystem and environment, which are now changed forever. We also drive cars, which emit exhaust, which in turn hurts our ozone layer and heats up the Earth. Once the ozone layer is damaged the ice caps melt a little and now the entire environment is changed, all thanks to man. Not to mention that biomes are changed as well due to global warming; the ice caps melt a little and the world gets hotter, thus the biomes near the sea are changed because the water level rises and the weather there is hotter. Another way man is changing biomes and the environment around the world is by building cities. Humans build new buildings every day and those buildings take up space, space that was once a tree, a bit of grassland, or maybe a little pond. The cities we build are all around the world and some of the places where those cities are used to be entire ecosystems. For example the Thames and the area surrounding it in London, England; they were once their own environment and we built over the land surrounding the river and dumped a bunch of garbage into the Thames. The same goes for Denver; it lies on a mountain, the area it lies on used to have creeks and trees, but now it just has buildings and roads. Another part of the environment changed forever due to us

There are two ways that humans disrupt the proper functioning of ecosystems. One is by altering the structure of natural landscapes. Tearing down trees, which can be homes to different wildlife species, can do this. Another way humans disrupt the functioning of ecosystems is by altering soil composition.…

Overpopulation is a generally unwanted condition where an organism's numbers exceed the carrying capacity of its habitat. The term often refers to the relationship between the human population and its environment, the Earth, or smaller geographical areas such as countries. Overpopulation can result from an increase in births, a decline in mortality rates, an increase in immigration, or an unsustainable biome and weakening of resources. It is possible for very sparingly populated areas to be overpopulated if the area has a skimpy or non-existent capability to sustain life.…

Nature of change refers to the natural or human induced change towards an ecosystem. Humans play a role in maintaining or disturbing the dynamic equilibrium of any ecosystem. They have the ability to minimise natural resources ecosystems in order to grow food, build habitats, and remove or extract specific resources. They also can remove unwanted species, both plants and animals and other species are provided with a favourable, more suitable environment for their survival by human intervention.…

Mankind had many impacts throughout history economically and socially. One significant impact that arose because of changing economic and social pleasures was the effect mankind had on the environment. Mankind’s impact on the environment changes from the Agricultural Revolution through the 19th century in that man destroys more of the environment as industrialization progresses. Industrialization of the environment started out small with…

Human are the ones putting a huge impact on the carbon cycle. Humans are tearing apart important animal territory. they are tearing down trees and moving plants, in order to add house, expand and make buisneses. Since they are expanding the area and then bringing in more humans in return we use more of our fossil fuels increasing the carbon dioxide into the air. For example just recently near my house the were adding on to the hospital. That involves clearing out acres and acres of land just to begin the process of laying foundation. While doing this the construction companies used a lot of heavy machinery that released carbon dioxide into the air. Once construction was complete they did replant some plants and trees all around the building and parking lot, not as many as there were but they at least attempted to add some back in the area.…

Anthropocene is the period in which human activity has affected the climate and environment change in today’s world. In the last few years we have destroyed more than half of forests; rivers and oceans have been polluted with plastic and chemical waste, and carbon dioxide has doubled as well. As temperatures increases glaciers have turn into water and continue to increase as time goes on. Freshwater supplies have been suffering with droughts and contaminated waste that destroy fresh water, and the living creatures who drink the water die from it. Flood hazards have also been affected due to mankind creating more buildings, by which destroy forests who could absorb the water.…

Aside from all the comments, whether having teachers or having students who make the city feel unsafe. There are always opportunities around.…

The article that Mrs. Capps has provided me with is, full of tested hypothesis proving the theory of how our society is prepositioning our personas. As people we see ourselves naturally as kind, friendly and honest. However, were more like a chameleon because we change based on our surroundings. You may not notice but others do and it shows a whole lot about who you truly are. These tests were made by scientist and the police forces to find how people truly act in different surroundings. The first Test, the series of blue lights, quickly showed significant results of the crime rates. They dramatically decreased and it was proven that the blue lights were, mysteriously calming and gives a sense of justice or hope to the people. Not only did the crime rates reduce but the number of suicide attempts decreased as well. Another theory is the mirror theory which is said to be even more powerful, because they compel us to peer, metaphorically, into our own souls. In West Midlands, England, they placed a pair of eyes around town on posters. It showed that the people are more honors and have more manners in places they feel they are being watched. I know it’s comforting to believe that there’s a unique individual version of each of us but there isn’t. We are simply, the Good or the bad. The environmental shapes and reshapes us as fast as we can walk from one part of the city to another.…

If we as humans use up and pollute our Earth and its resources, we will be taking away from not only us, but all the plants and animals that live here as well. If the resources we use and pollute and don’t replenish affect the habitats that animals and plants belong to, it could alter an entire ecosystem. Changes in an ecosystem could lead to some plants and animals dying off. Other organisms, or even us, could benefit from said plants and animals. It would also decrease biodiversity. Biodiversity is necessary for a healthy ecosystem. In fact, a…

We have polluted the atmosphere, contaminated the soil and water and destroyed the habitats of several species leading to their extinction. Climate change is now a accepted reality. As per scientists, the global average temperatures have already increased by 0.8oC and if we continue with our current emission patterns we will continue to have rising sea levels and reseeding coastlines. Countries need to integrate their efforts and look beyond political boundaries and work towards solutions that will bring change.…

Earth is composed of many different ecosystems and each one is a “dynamic complex of plant, animal, and micro-organism communities interacting with the non-living environment as a functional unit" (Protecting Threatened Ecosystems, 2004). These ecosystems are an intricate part of the human lifecycle as they provide us with our water, food and energy. Since mankind is in a take and take some more relationship with the ecosystems, many of them have had their natural processes disrupted, not to mention the added pollution and excessive use. According to the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, "Over 60% of all ecosystems on the globe are overexploited and have entered into a degradation cycle with often unknown consequences" (2004). How do we as humans combat this you ask? The answer, a simple one, is through ecosystem maintenance by conservation or preservation.…

Many factories are built and released a large amount of chemical to the atmosphere and sea. An example from Iron factory in Vietnam, they released chemical and iron into the sea and river. Many people got sick or even death because of using the water system that from the polluted river. Many living things in the seas or animals live on the ground are dying because of the water. Next, the greenhouse gas, carbon dioxide is the main pollutant. The chemicals are pumped from vehicles, powers plants and human activities like burning fossil fuels or wars. Then, the atmosphere raises its levels higher and breaks the ozone layers, shield to protect Earth from radiation emitted by the sun. Scientists found that there is an ozone hole in Antarctica, which it is a warning to people that all the activities they are doing right now will soon break the layers. The earth is changing the climates and lead to global warming. The more greenhouse gases trap in the atmosphere, the more heats get trapped. The weather which the amount of snow falling or raining in different areas changes over times. The sun's rays get hotter than before and it can cause cancer by radiation. This could be the way to end the world if people keep doing the same activities and worse. Many places like in Russia's north area, ice is melting and many species like a polar bear or sea lions are dying because their habitat is changing. The industrial revolution has affected the environment which causing air, water pollution. Changes this large have historically taken thousands of years, but are now happening over the course of decades. Many species are going to be extinct if human keep destroying the nature and one day the world will be ended. So, the climate is changing and it can cause huge effects on…
